Dorset County Council Temporary Closure of Higher Sea Lane, Charmouth DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HIGHER SEA LANE, CHARMOUTH from the junction with The Street to its junction with Five Acres, a distance of approximately 150 metres. Temporary Closure of King Street, Bridport DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along KING STREET, BRIDPORT, a distance of approximately 150 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 31st July 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31st December 2017. This order will enable I W Roper Developments safe access to demolish public toilets and construct 3 new houses. Temporary Closure of A3066, Mosterton DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along A3066 from Mosterton to the south of Beaminster Tunnel, a distance of approximately 5605 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 4th September 2017 between 0900 and 1600 and will remain in force for 18 months However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15th September 2017. Please note that the section of road between Whetley Cross and Beaminster tunnel will be open as normal from the 7 September 2017 and the closure between Mosterton and Whetley Cross will remain in force until the 15 September 2017. The road will be open outside of these times and also over the weekend. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above. The closure is also weather dependant. Even though the dates above coincide only one road will be closed at any one time. But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary. This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works and bridge works. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffi c to travel around the closed sections.
