ExecuJet signs contract with Lufthansa Technik for German Air Force Pilot Training

ExecuJet Europe has today announced an agreement with the German Air Force to provide flight training for a selection of their Pilots. The air force is currently awaiting delivery of 4 Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft which will be delivered from Bombardier through Lufthansa Technik, based in Hamburg. ExecuJet has been appointed by Lufthansa Technik to provide the line and landing training to six air force pilots, enabling them to become air force flight instructors on the Global 5000 aircraft.

The training will take place between April and July this year and will be supported by a number of ExecuJet’s current instructors. ExecuJet is well suited for this program as they currently manage one of the largest fleets of Bombardier Global aircraft, some of which will be used for the training.

The pilots will initially undertake simulator training with CAE Montreal before beginning their practical training with ExecuJet. The training will follow a syllabus that has been developed by the German Air Force and ExecuJet. It will be performed according to ExecuJet’s strict safety standards. The program will include pre-flight inspections, ground training, and various approaches and landings as well as flying both within Europe and overseas long haul to complete every stage of their training. During various flights there will also be air force mechanics and flight attendants on board for their type training supported by ExecuJet specialists.

“We are delighted to be part of this programme and look forward to starting with the training in April” stated Tobias Laps, General Manager ExecuJet . “We have enrolled some of our best pilots and engineers for the mission and are proud that ExecuJet has some of the highest safety records in the business.”
