The Agri-Food Act, 2004 [section 12] ______

THE TURKEY MARKETING PLAN REGULATIONS – MINIMUM LIVE PRICE Order No. 39/18. The TURKEY FARMERS OF SASKATCHEWAN Board, pursuant to the provisions of The Turkey Marketing Plan Regulations and The Agri-Food Act, 2004, hereby determines and orders as follows: 1 At least biweekly, the Board shall determine and set a minimum live price using a formula that incorporates the costs of production including feed costs, poult costs and fuel costs. Once the formula is calculated, a floor of -6 cents and a ceiling of +6 cents when compared to Ontario Grade A Hen price is applied. From this calculation Broiler price is calculated as Hen Price + $0.03, Grade A Jumbo Hens is calculated as Hen Price + $0.10 and Utility Jumbo Hens is calculated as Utility Jumbo Hen Price + $0.045. 2 Since the fixed costs for Saskatchewan and Alberta are very similar, calculation of the price will be administered by the Alberta Turkey Producers Board. 3 The board may set separate minimum live prices for Saskatchewan turkey marketed within and outside of the province. 4 Notice of the minimum live price shall be sent at least 48 hours prior to the date at which the prices become effective and shall be: (a) forwarded to all licensed producers and registered processors via email; and (b) emailed to other persons as the Board deems necessary. 5 All minimum live price notices shall include the date and time upon which the stated price becomes effective. 6 Provincial live prices shall be distributed to processors according to their provincial categorization. THE SASKATCHEWAN GAZETTE, 8 JUIN 2018 1359

7 No licensed producer shall sell, and no processor shall buy, live turkey at a price that is less than the minimum live price determined by the board. 8 This Order will remain in effect for a period no longer than 10 years from the date this Order is approved by the Agri-Food Council. 9 Order No. 35/17: Minimum Live Price is repealed and replaced by this Order. Order No. 39/18 is made pursuant to subsection 41(2), clause 7(aa) and subclause 7(dd)(ii) of The Turkey Marketing Plan Regulations and shall be effective upon the date of this Order. By order of the Turkey Farmers of Saskatchewan.

Todd Clarke, Chairperson, Turkey Farmers of Saskatchewan.

Pursuant to section 32, subsection 41(2), clause 7(aa) and subclause 7(dd)(ii) of The Turkey Marketing Plan Regulations and section 12 of The Agri-Food Act, 2004, the above Order No. 39/18 of the Turkey Farmers of Saskatchewan is approved the 31st day of May, 2018.
