Training and sending missionaries to reach every nation. Internship Program | Summary and Q&A

You’ve probably met or are even working with potential interns right now. Tey’re the ones who go the extra mile and take care of little things that make a big diference. Whether it’s starting small groups in the community, following up with students who come to church, or engaging others through active evangelism and outreaches, they’re the ones who are more passionate about God and His Kingdom than your average student or volunteer church member. Tey may even have been to an Every Nation Campus Conference, or gone on a Ten Days missions experience. However they became engaged, one thing is certain: Tey want to serve God in a greater way with more training, deeper interaction with key leaders, signifcant projects and roles, and measurable successes. With Every Nation Churches & Ministries Internship Program, and its optional partnership development component, you and your local church can help introduce these men and women to the lifestyle of full-time ministry while meeting crucial needs within your local ministry. Tese interns will get to work closely with their local church leaders in a hands-on ministry environment, exposing them to everything from college ministry to evangelistic outreaches — all supervised by their pastors within the local church setting. Why an Internship Program? Churches and campus ministers need a way to develop strong local leadership but may not have the time or resources to pour into administrating an internship program. Every Nation needs a way to develop and prepare potential long-term missionaries. We understand that the leap into full-time ministry work and/or Ministry Partner Development can be daunting, even for those who are certain of their calling. Te Internship Program addresses both the church’s, intern’s and Ministries’ needs while providing ample time to prepare interns for the “leap of faith” into full-time ministry, should they decide God has called them to it. What is the Internship Program? It’s a tool for local churches and campus ministries to train the next generation of campus missionaries, cross-cultural missionaries, church planters, and pastors. Te program is designed to be “directional.” We’re trusting God that as interns walk through the program, God will direct them into the area of ministry He’s calling them to. At the end of their time as interns, they’ll be ready to take the next step into vocational ministry as full-time staf of a local church, into full-time missionary employment with Every Nation, or into the general business world, better for the internship experience. Who can become an intern? Anyone who is at least eighteen years old and who is passionate about serving God but not quite ready to go into full-time ministry. How do you become an intern? Apply on Every Nation’s careers website at careers.everynation.org, but make sure to talk it over with your local associate or senior pastor before applying.

Interns must be employees of the local church and are subject to all applicable state and federal employment laws. Te local pastoral team, along with a designated ministry assignment leader (MAL), will oversee and manage the intern’s day-to-day work. Because interns are employed through their local churches, it’s important to note that the total compensation of the intern is set not by Every Nation, but by the local church according to the guidelines for such positions within the church and according to federal, state, and local laws such as those for minimum wage. As long as the goals and objectives of their internship are being met, interns can also have part-time jobs elsewhere to supplement their incomes. How do interns get paid? In addition to a part- or full-time job, interns have the option of developing a partnership team through Every Nation. Each intern will receive an associated ministry account with Every Nation. If they choose to do so, they can use their associated ministry account to develop and maintain a team of Every Nation fnancial partners to help sustain their internship with their local church. To assist interns in developing partners, Every Nation’s MPD team hosts intermittent trainings throughout the country to teach the basics of building a partnership team. Interns are required to attend one of these trainings prior to beginning the MPD process. Te MPD department also provides interns with all of the materials needed to represent Every Nation and develop a partnership team. Internship account funds are electronically transferred monthly to the local church according to what is available in each intern’s associated ministry account. Every Nation Finance & Accounting Department will transfer funds within fve business days afer the end of each month. Te local church will then pay the intern according to its normal payroll schedule. What are the limitations of the Internship Program? • Interns must be eighteen years old or above. • Interns’ duties must accomplish the mission, vision, and values of Every Nation through the local church. • Interns who choose to do partnership development are prohibited from doing any form of network marketing, direct sales or multi-level marketing while an intern with Every Nation. Tis includes but is not limited to Avon, , Herbalife, , Melaleuca, , Solavei, etc., as this violates Every Nation confict of interest policy.
