2020 Diamante Experience 2020 Diamante Experience Diamante, Cabo December 1-5, 2020 billiondollarservice.com About Truly lower your score. BDS brings you the 2019 PGA Teacher of the Year, 2018 PGA Teacher of the Year, Founder of AimPoint Golf, course management master, and one of the best Latin American PGA TOUR players in history. Diamante is one of our favorite properties on the planet. The property has everything imaginable including the Davis Love III “Dunes Course” which is top 50 in the world, Tiger Woods Design “El Cardinal”, 15 hole TGR Desgn short course and 15 hole putting course. Aside from the golf, the amenities are world class and create the perfect venue for this experience. Diamante MORE THAN A LUXURY RESORT. IT’S A WAY OF LIFE. Nestled on 1.5 miles of stunning coastline and magnificent dunes, Diamante is a paradise of beauty, privacy, luxury and world-class service. Diamante boasts a unique and diverse set of amenities which currently include two world-class golf courses designed by Davis Love III and Tiger Woods, a TGR Design par three Oasis Short Course, 10-acre Crystal Lagoons® pool, state-of-the-art spa, fitness and sports center, several bars and restaurants, six miles of walking and hiking trails, and much more. Add to all of this an extended family of staff who are here to grant your every wish, and the Diamante lifestyle becomes an experience as magnificent as you’ll find anywhere else in the world. The Golf THE DUNES COURSE Eighteen holes sit among some of the most dramatic sand dunes in the world. “You’re either playing toward the ocean, along the ocean or away from the ocean,” says course designer Davis Love III. “And then, at times, you’re down in the dunes and you pop up and are surprised all over again by the incredible views of the ocean.” The Dunes Course has received many accolades since opening in 2009, including being ranked #36 in the world by GOLF Magazine in 2017 and the #1 course in all of Mexico by Golf Digest in 2016. EL CARDONAL AT DIAMANTE In 2014, Diamante opened up Tiger Woods’ first golf course design—El Cardonal. Influenced by the old-style courses of Southern California that he grew up playing, Tiger created a course that brings back the need for strategy—providing players with several shot options to navigate during each hole. The course is long enough to challenge expert players, but open enough to provides options for those with higher handicaps. It truly is a fun test for golfers of all skill levels. DUNES PUTTING COURSE The Golf (continued) In December 2019, the Dunes Putting Course was honored by the American Society of Golf Course Architects as the Best Putting Course in the 2019 Design Excellence Recognition Program, as voted on by a panel of golf industry leaders that included architects, club managers, course builders and superintendents. With a commanding view of the ocean and a spot next to the most dominant dune on the property, the Dunes Putting Course has 15 holes consisting of three par-2s and twelve par-3s that vary in length from 14 to 64 yards. The course is designed to be played in reverse on alternate days. This creates a total of 30 different holes, as a downhill hole one day becomes an uphill hole the next. Whether you stop after 15 holes or play all day, you’re guaranteed a great time! THE OASIS SHORT COURSE Diamante opened its latest golf creation in December 2016—The Oasis Short Course. This Tiger Woods designed 12-hole par three course features a palapa bar, practice green, event lawn, and a mile long perimeter concrete jogging and hiking trail. The Short Course itself weaves its way through lush vegetation (including more than 400 palm trees) and over an 8-acre lake. “We all know that J. D. is extremely talented. Once he gets going, he gets going.” —Tiger Woods If you know anything at all about John Daly, you know he approaches the game of golf from a slightly different perspective than your average two- THE ALL-IN-ONE AUDIOBOOK time major winner. • Is Tiger Woods a Winner? Scott M
Is Tiger Woods a Winner? Scott M. Berry Abstract Tiger Woods has an amazing record of winning golf tournaments. He has gained the persona of a player that is a winner, a player that when near the lead or in the lead can do whatever it takes to win. In this paper I investigate whether in fact, he is a winner. A mathematical model is created for the ability of Tiger Woods, and all PGA Tour golfers to play 18 holes of tournament golf. The career of Tiger Woods is replayed using the mathematical model for all golfers and the results are very consistent with Tiger Woods’ actual career. Therefore the mathematical model, which does not give Woods any additional ability to win, would result in essentially the same career. Woods has not needed any additional ability to win–only his pure golfing ability. The ramifications of this result are that there is no evidence that Woods is in fact a “winner” – but instead he is just a much better golfer than everyone else. Introduction Tiger Woods is one of those rare athletes that accomplish feats in their sport that are freakish. In this small group are guys such as Babe Ruth, Wayne Gretzky, Wilt Chamberlain, Barry Bonds, and Jack Nicklaus. Woods dominates a sport where the population of players are all very good–and very tightly bundled in their ability. To win one tournament, beating 100+ of these players is incredibly difficult. To average one tournament victory a year for 10 years is a Hall of Fame type accomplishment.

POST-ROUND INTERVIEW 21 October 2019 TIGER WOODS JASON DAY RORY McILROY HIDEKI MATSUYAMA HENNI ZUËL: What a nice little confidence boost this is. Obviously it's fun to play along these guys, but it's a world-class foursome and how did you feel out there? JASON DAY: It was great. I think the back and forth was nice and I honestly think we all played some pretty nice golf out there, so hopefully the fans enjoyed it on TV around the world. I think overall it was a lovely afternoon, evening. First time I ever finished under lights, so that was exciting. HENNI ZUËL: Tiger, how much did you enjoy this format? It's obviously one that you're familiar with, skins, but how much did you enjoy it out there with these guys? TIGER WOODS: Well, I enjoyed just being out with these guys and I think that we all put on a pretty good show. No one got shut out, which was great, and I think we made a few birdies. Learned the golf course a little bit on the fly and we got it in, which is great. HENNI ZUËL: Rory, your style of golf is pretty aggressive. I feel like this suited you out there to be able to just fire at pins? RORY McILROY: Yeah, for the most part. Yeah, no, it is, especially with the way the course was set up, we could fire at some pins. Yeah, no, it's good fun. I mean, there's probably a few holes out there where during the tournament this week we probably won't hit driver, but it was nice to get driver in our hands and have a hit and have a bit of fun.

  • Tee-Scripts.Com PRE-TOURNAMENT INTERVIEW: TOM WATSON
PRE-TOURNAMENT INTERVIEW: TOM WATSON April 19, 2017 Q. First off, just how do you approach this? Is this almost like a hometown kind of event or home state at least event for you? TOM WATSON: Well, it's great being a three-hour drive from home and being out in an area that you love. This is a special place here. With the lake here, the facility that we have here, playing a par-3 course, nobody ever does that in professional golf. It's unique and special. But again, it goes back to I think 1978 was the first Legends tournament and it was the first senior tour tournament; I would call it the PGA TOUR Champions. It brings together all the older players that don't get a chance to play golf anymore. That's the beauty of this tournament. That's the most special thing about this tournament is to be able to see the old guys, let them have a chance to compete again and get their juices flowing. At least think about it, think about the memories that they used to have when they competed and maybe get some of those memories back in real form this week. To see them out there on the golf course is really special. Q. How long did it take you to fall in love with this area? TOM WATSON: Well, this area's a -- you know, the topography of the area will leave you speechless. I love the rocks, I love the contours. The area's a beautiful, beautiful area to me.

  • Davis Love Interview
Tour Interview Davis Love III I first met Davis Love III at the 2002 Grand Slam Cup where I was fortunate enough to play with Davis in the Pro-Am. He seemed like a friendly guy, remembered everyone’s name, and lined up our putts. I saw him again at Tiger’s tournament outside Los Angeles two weeks later, watching from afar as he hit balls on the range. As Davis strolled to the first tee, he walked over to me and said, “I thought I saw you. How are you doing, Len?” I was pleased, yet shocked, that he remembered my name! I was even more pleased that he agreed to sit down for an interview later that afternoon. As the sun disappeared, a brief ten minutes lasted considerably longer. We sat in the corner of the locker room and among other topics, Davis discussed the influence of his famous father, Michael Jordan, his relationship with Fred Couples, and he revealed insights into who Davis Love III really is. There is an aura of honesty, integrity and sincerity in his words, precise yet uncalculating in how they are delivered. His words flowed, never a pause to think about what to say, how to respond. What you get is the essence of Davis. On the long drive back to San Diego, I continually thought to myself, “What a nice guy.” I think you will find what Davis has to say informative, moving and insightful. Leonard Finkel: Davis, as I was waiting for you at the last people to watch it, to get people interested and get people to hole, I watched David Toms and Jim Furyk come through.
