This Christmas, Raewyn Bayer and Lisa Burroughs didn’t just put one tree up, instead the pair fashioned a three day event whereby over 300 guests entered a whimsical wonderland of extraordinary decorated Christmas trees. Hosted on the banks of the Waikato River, the pair started planning the Christmas- themed open home in March last year and ended up with over 50 artificial, real, and repurposed Christmas trees. In the four weeks leading up to Christmas, each Farmers store throughout New Zealand hosted a Tree of Remembrance and asked customers to make a donation to support their local hospice service.
