  • Club Review Summer 2019
Club Review Summer 2019 AN INTRODUCTION In 2019, Kidderminster Harriers enters into arguably the most influential phase of its history as negotiations continue with even more prominent partners. Our aim for this partnership is to establish Kidderminster as a lead educator as a University town. Cities like Worcester and Wolverhampton have thrived in that regard and there is absolutely no reason why Kidderminster cannot follow suit. Our desire is to build and establish a University that can thrive and support the football club as it does so. At this time, we’re able to reflect on the fantastic progress that has already been made by Kidderminster Harriers and the hopes for the future as we continue to develop, improve and progress. Discover more: • FIRST TEAM • EDUCATION • U19-23 ACADEMY • JUNIOR ACADEMY • FOOTBALL IN THE COMMUNITY • WOMEN’S FOOTBALL • E SPORTS • CAREER OPPORTUNITIES • LAND ACQUISITION • CONCLUSION FIRST TEAM Where were we? In 2015 the club was staring relegation in the face and playing an uninspiring and unidentifiable brand of football that excited nobody. Despite significant improvements in the second half of that season, the damage had been done. Relegation was confirmed with zero prospect or idea as to how the club would do anything other than spend decades at the levels below. What are we now? In our first season we identified top playing and coaching talent in the likes of John Eustace, Matt Gardiner, Ryan Croasdale, Elton Ngwatala and Arthur Gnahoua to develop a brand of football that suited us, and that was extremely entertaining. In the following summer, we chased dreams and began to live beyond our means.

AGENDA ITEM 6 PLANNING AND REGULATORY COMMITTEE 29 SEPTEMBER 2020 SAFETY OF SPORTS GROUNDS ANNUAL REVIEW 2019/20 Purpose of Report 1. To provide an annual review of activities carried out by Worcestershire County Council (WCC) Directorate of Public Health (Emergency Planning) to discharge statutory duties under the Safety at Sports Grounds (SatSGs) and related legislation during 2019/2020. Background 2. Members will recall that the legislative background for the Council's responsibilities for SatSGs is based on the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975, Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (FSO) 2005. 3. WCC therefore has an interest in all sports grounds in the County but more specifically those that are formally "designated" and stadia that have "regulated stands" as follows: 4. The "Designated" stadium in Worcestershire as defined by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport under The Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975 is: Sixways Stadium – home of Worcester Warriors Rugby Football Club 5. The "Regulated Stands" in Worcestershire – stadia with stands that provide covered accommodation for 500 or more spectators and covered by the Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (FSO) 2005 are: The Grandstand – Pitchcroft, Worcester Race Course, Aggborough Stadium – home of Kidderminster Harriers Football Club The Victoria Ground – home of Bromsgrove Sporting Football Club, (also used by Worcester City Football Club during the 2019/20 season). 6. The Worcestershire County Cricket Ground at New Road and the Worcester Arena are neither "designated" nor "regulated".

MAGAZINE February 2003 ISSN 1366-0799 Multi-agencyMulti-agency workingworking availableavailable toto membersmembers onlyonly From your editor This was going to be the most efficiently prepared Magazine as I planned to have a real break at Christmas. Well I didn't get the break as everything seemed to slow down during December and ground to a halt just before the Christmas holiday. Some articles and items just were not available to 'drop' into the publishing programme until the very last minute ie in January. The knock-on effect of the delays has been to miss all sorts of deadlines added to which, at the proofing stage of the magazine, my laptop and the proof of this magazine were stolen from my car - so Sharon Pointeer’s article on her ICT Newspage is particularly apt. So if your Magazine is a little later than usual - I am sorry. Maybe changing the publication dates was not such a good idea after all! Certainly this will be reviewed for the coming year. There are exciting plans afoot to publish the Audiology Updates as a pack; produce a CD ROM of the Magazines 2000-2002 so that you will be able to print off pages (in colour) to laminate and use as resources; and the new Language of Examinations booklet has reached the publication stage. With a fair wind it is possible that the new items will be available by early during the summer term. The Magazine CD (£25.00) should be available by the AGM in Edinburgh…. Getting To Football 2021-22 August 2021 Edition Andy Edwards Andy Edwards 17 Catherine Street Rochester Kent ME1 2HJ [email protected] Most of the content of this work is in the public domain. The remainder of the content, and the presentation of the information, is © Andy Edwards 2021. The cover image is © Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum 2019. Introduction Welcome back to Getting To Football! When I put out the last edition in March 2020, little did I know that it would be almost eighteen months before the next edition. As I write, there is reasonable confidence that football will be almost back to nornal in the 2021-22 season, although it certainly cannot be ruled out that this may change – and if there’s going to be a game, it remains the job of Getting To Football to get you there! For various reasons – mostly related either to procrastination or to cricket - this edition has been prepared with a shorter lead time than usual. This means that not all of the usual content is present; this edition covers only football in England from the Premier League down to Step 6, the top two levels of football in Northern Ireland, the top five levels in Scotland, and the top two levels in Wales. The lower levels in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales will return in the October edition together with hockey and rugby union. Football in Ireland, Gaelic football, hurling, rugby league, and shinty play summer seasons and will return in good time for their 2022 seasons. In another minor change for this edition, I’ve turned the font size up a bit.
