Good afternoon, everyone, & welcome to few if any appeals from the visiting players, Leiston FC. This afternoon, we welcome the & I always think that is a good barometer of players, fans & officials of Stourbridge to whether a claim has any legitimacy. I mean, this part of Suffolk. In what is fast becoming we all know players will appeal for something of a theme this season, today we absolutely anything (no offence, lads), often once again welcome a team who humped us more in hope than expectation, so when at their place earlier in the season (5-1), but there are no real appeals, you have to our visitors today will face a very different wonder why. I would also suggest there Blues side to the one they brushed aside so would have been no real complaints from easily back in September, & hopefully we'll anyone if the game had just carried on after see a very different result! the incident. That said, hand on heart, I would probably have been shouting from Last time out here at Victory Road we were the side for a penalty if it had happened to a looking to build on our fantastic 2-1 away Leiston player, so who would be a referee, win the previous Saturday at then league eh? The answer was, of course, a very soft remember, in 6th position & in good form. penalty & a moment of quality from Sam Rob Eagle’s well-taken penalty for a Whittall (who was probably the pick of the handball decision reduced the arrears 'Pics' players) all in the space of about 2 before the game become end-to-end, minutes. With 5 mins to go at this making a fantastic diving save to push John point, there was still time for both sides to Sands’s header behind, he couldn't do miss good chances to win the game, but a anything to deny young Zak scoring his first draw was probably a fair result overall. Leiston Youths Under-10s & Under-12s

Both the Saturday Under-10s and Saturday Under-12s teams are thriving and thoroughly en- joying their football, which is great to see. We are self-funding, so this could not be done with- out the generosity of the local community via various funding and sponsorship assistance we receive. We have just received a cheque for £500 from the local Co-op from the Green Token Collection scheme, which is a huge bonus from the local community. Thank you, again, to eve- rybody who collected the ‘Club Together Vouchers’, too. The money has now been spent on training poles, bibs, cones & footballs. Thanks must also go to the following organisations who have been a massive help to us over the last couple of years: Alde Fencing, EDF Energy, Quatreus Ltd., Godbold Properties, Fairweather Law, Leiston Town Council, Premier League, Adnams Community Trust & Munchy Seeds.

The under-10s and under-12s Saturday teams are continuing to enjoy playing their home games on the Waterloo centre field (Old Leiston Middle School Field). With continued support from 1st Leiston Scout Group, we can now offer spectators refreshments, which is most wel- come during this colder winter period. Everybody is welcome to come and support the future of Leiston Football Club, so please see home fixture dates below.
