VOLUNTEER POLICY
Thank you for volunteering on the American Victory Ship. Volunteers should complete and sign: 1. Emergency Notification Form 2. Boarding Permit and Hold Harmless Agreement
After completing these forms, give us a call at 813.228.8766 to arrange a time for you to meet with someone from the ship.
Parking is available right in front of the ship on the wharf directly behind the Florida Aquarium.
The ship conducts safety training and volunteer orientation monthly. The safety training is required for all cruise volunteers. The volunteer orientation will provide you with information about the ship and shipboard operations.
Whenever you come on board there is a United States Coast Guard Regulation that requires you to sign in/out in the sign in book located at the gangway

Welcome Aboard!!! Please read this notice thoroughly and sign at the bottom, thank you!
In exchange for the authority to board any VESSEL owned and operated by The Victory Ship, Inc., which from time to time may be underway or under tow and other good and valuable consideration, the BOARDER agrees as follows: The Victory Ship, Inc. and its principles, officers, servants, employees, crews, agents and affiliates and any vessel owned, chartered or operated by The Victory Ship, Inc. shall not be liable to the BOARDER, the BOARDER's insurers, or any other third-party claim, demand, injury, illness, death, damage, loss, action or cause of action arising in connection with, or incident to the BOARDER's decision or effort to board the VESSEL, the BOARDER's presence on board the VESSEL, the BOARDER's decision or effort to disembark from the VESSEL, or from the BOARDER's presence near the VESSEL, or otherwise arising under, in connection with, or incident to, this Boarding Permit and Hold Harmless Agreement (hereinafter "Agreement") even if the claim, demand, injury, illness, death, etc., is totally or partially caused by, or results from, The Victory Ship, Inc.'s negligence or the VESSEL's or TOWBOAT's unseaworthiness. The BOARDER shall indemnify, defend, save and hold The Victory Ship, Inc. harmless (including the payment of reasonable attorney's fees and costs through appeal) from any liability, damage, judgment, claim, suit, demand, Joss, expense, arrest, in rem claim, or third party action whatsoever arising in connection with, or incident to the BOARDER's decision or effort to board the VESSEL, the BOARDER's presence on board the VESSEL, the BOARDER's decision or effort to disembark from the VESSEL, or from the BOARDER's presence near the VESSEL, or otherwise arising under, in connection with, or incident to this agreement including any liability, damage, judgment, claim, suit etc., that is totally or partially caused by, or results from, The Victory Ship, Inc.'5 negligence or the VESSEL's unseaworthiness. All disputes and matters whatsoever arising under, in connection with, or incident to the BOARDER's decision or effort to board the VESSEL, the BOARDER's presence on board the VESSEL, the BOARDER's decision or effort to disembark from the VESSEL, or from the BOARDER's presence near the VESSEL, or otherwise arising under, in connection with, or incident to, this Agreement shall be governed by the general maritime law of the United States. If there are any gaps in the general maritime law and only to such extent, the law of the State of Florida shall govern this Agreement. All suits shall be brought in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division. All suits shall be under the Admiralty jurisdiction of that court and shall be tried to the court without a jury. However if the federal court lacks jurisdiction, or is otherwise unavailable, all actions shall be brought in the Circuit Court of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida in and for Hillsborough County. The BOARDER agrees to follow any oral or written instructions, policies, rules, regulations or restrictions provided to the BOARDER by The Victory Ship. Inc. If the BOARDER fails to obey any of The Victory Ship, Inc's instruction, policies, rules, etc. the BOARDER agrees to disembark from the Vessel immediately upon The Victory Ship, lnc.'s request. If any section, subsection, paragraph, or provision of this Agreement is declared invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect or in any jurisdiction, then the invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect the remaining sections, subsections, paragraph, or provisions of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and affect. I, the BOARDER, agree to all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement and confirm that I have read and understand the Agreement.
