Edinburgh Fringe 2018: Comedy Andrew Roach Talent Presents Laura Lexx: Trying The Turret, Gilded Balloon Teviot 3 - 26 August (not 15) @ 17:15 ‘Real comedic steel’ The Guardian ‘One can only hope there’s some life-altering catastrophe around the corner for Laura Lexx.’ So said one Fringe reviewer in 2015. Luckily, the award-winning comedian with ‘superb material, brilliant delivery and irre- sistible personality’, (**** TV Bomb), has had a breakdown! Yay! Recently, Laura has been busy hosting on BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club, win- ning the UK Comedy Award and being nominated for a Chortle Award for the third time. However, for most of 2017 Laura was trying to get through therapy, trying the patience of everyone, and trying unsuccessfully for a baby. Given all that, Laura wasn’t at the Edinburgh Fringe last year - instead she was in a tent in France with two small children and her mother looking for answers. This year she’s back in Scotland with considerably more jokes than answers. She’s done trying now; it’s time to laugh. ‘One of the most delightful performers you’re ever likely to see’ GQ Laura Lexx is an award-winning comedian and writer. She won Best MC at the 2017 UK Comedy Awards and was nominated for Best Compere in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Chortle Comedy Awards. She also was a finalist for the Amused Moose Com- edy Award, Paramount Student Comedy Award, Chortle Student Comedy Award and Funny Women Award. Laura has gigged at comedy clubs and festivals all over the UK and in Europe, as well as supporting Jason Manford, Tim Vine and Russell Kane on tour. -

Design principles Page 2 of 99 Short Term Lets: Consultation No. 2 Report Foreword by Kevin Stewart MSP, Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning I am pleased to present the Scottish Government’s report into the consultation on proposals for the regulation of short-term lets in Scotland. We received 1,086 responses to this consultation; remarkably, the same number as in the 2019 consultation, despite the foreshortened period of engagement. I am very grateful to all who took the time to attend the consultation workshops (on-line as necessitated by COVID-19 restrictions) and to respond. As I hope this report shows, we have listened to the many and various views expressed and refined and improved our proposals as a result. Perhaps the greatest number of comments centred on whether to proceed with regulation at this time or to delay it. I am continuing to press ahead with these proposals now and the secondary legislation will be laid at the Scottish Parliament in December. -

GILDED BALLOON TEVIOT BILLIARD ROOM TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 2020 SEATING • The Billiard Room has 4 rows of seating on the floor followed by 3 raked rows with a total of 106 seats • The rear 4 rows are split down the centre to avoid sightline issues (due to a pillar in the centre of the room) STAGE • The performance area is approximately 6m wide by 3m deep and is covered by black dance floor • The stage is raised 100mm above floor level • There is limited backstage space at the rear and SL side of the stage; however this is also used as storage, so the usable space will vary from year to year and depends upon what set pieces and props are being used by other companies. MASKING • Black Box with USL and USR splits for entrances. Limited SL and SR wing space • There is potential for a narrow crossover sometimes possible but this varies from year to year depending on storage requirements Please be aware this is an approximation.
