Driven by Purpose Shrinkhala Khatiwada MAY 15, 2021 THE RACE FOR LIKES BOOKS THAT SHINE THE LIGHT ON ANXIETY REDUCE FINE LINES AND WRINKLES WITHOUT BOTOX DRIVEN BY PURPOSE SHRINKHALA KHATIWADA TA PromiseRIV EforN LifeI Time - as we measure it – flows seamlessly, each second, minute, hour merging into an endless cycle of day and night. The skies, the clouds, the sun, the stars, the oceans and rivers, the forests and the animals in an unconcerned rhythmic flow of life make me question why am I calculating time… And every time I measure time in pensive mood, I go back to a quote from the book called ‘The Time Keeper’ which says: “Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner or a movie. Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out” …And when I read this, I know without doubt that were I given the choice to live forever, I would not take it. After all it is the limited time that we have that makes life so precious. The pandemic has deeply unveiled to us the fragility of life. Many of us have lost people we loved and had known. Many of us are filled with grief and uncertainty. Many are struggling to understand the meaning and true purpose of our existence. Some of us may be even questioning the futility of how we lived before. Many of us have got a greater understanding of our lives interconnectedness. Many of us are making those small changes that now make our life more meaningful and appreciative of the things that are truly important. And unfortunately some of us have lost the connection with our inner being, find it difficult to cope with the changed circumstances of our lives, live in constant fear of falling ill, losing a loved one or losing our livelihoods… yes, these fears are real but the reality is also that they must be faced as best possible. And it’s also true that this point in time is where we must come together to become each other’s strength, to give what we can, where we can, when we can for this is how humanity can truly survive. And as difficult and testing this crisis is, we must be deeply thankful to be alive and to have the opportunity to create second chances, just to be able to breathe, and be in the wondrous journey called life. As The Time Keeper says: “Man wants to own his existence. But no one owns time. When you are measuring life, you are not living it”. charu chadha editor 24 May 2021 24 WOW COVER GIRL Driven By Purpose 36 WOW FASHION 2021 Style File 66 WOW FOOD Make Your Own Energy Bar May 2021 12 SNAP SHOTS 64 WOW EATWISE Healthy Staples You Should Always 14 COFFEE BREAK Have on Hand The Race For Likes 68 LOVE & SEX 32 LIFE'S BEAUTIFUL Eye Contact For Greater Intimacy In The Keeping It simple Bedroom 34 WOW BEAUTY 70 GET FIT Reduce Fine Lines and Wrinkles Without Summer Wellness Botox 72 PAWS & CLAWS 38 WHAT YOU THINK When Should I Vaccinate My Puppy?
