Welcome back to Wintrust Field, home of the THREE-TIME FRONTIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!! We are so very pleased that you will be joining us in celebrating the ninth season of Boomers baseball. We had to wait an extra year but our ninth season is set to be our best yet with an exciting promotions schedule filled with fun from May until August. On the field, Jamie Bennett has been working diligently during the offseason to put together the best possible team to try and win our fourth league championship. Jamie’s goal is clear – advance to the Frontier League playoffs and bring another championship trophy back to Schaumburg for the fourth time in nine seasons. As always, fan experience is our number one priority, and it is our mission to provide each and every fan the best possible and safest experience at the ballpark. We know that no matter which games you come to, you and your family will have a blast at an affordable price. And we know you will never leave without feel- ing happy, whether by way of dancing with Coop or enjoying one of our famous fireworks shows. Life as we know it is returning to normal but not without a great sense of loss - and gratitude. The Frontier League is grateful to you for your support and to the Schaumburg community as professional baseball makes its long-awaited return, and the game once again plays a role in nationwide healing by providing fans with fun, excitement, and wholesome family entertainment. We have a new resolve to deliver all of that during each of your visits to Wintrust Field. Since our teams last competed, the Frontier League has been named as a Partner League to Major League Baseball. This designation honors our longevity and past successes in providing players the opportunity along their journey to the highest levels of professional baseball. It also strengthens our collective efforts to grow the game and extends our reach to engage younger fans. Our league has also grown. In fact, we are the largest of MLB’s four Partner Leagues with a footprint that captures our legacy teams in the Midwest and now teams in the East and to the North in Canada! Cities like Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Quebec, and New York City are all a long home run away from communities that we call home, making accessibility easy for MLB scouts and value to our partners and sponsors even more significant. I am very grateful to lead the Frontier League of Professional Baseball into a new phase of growth and opportunity. You have our commitment that we will build upon the brand of our league, which means, most importantly, that we will be obsessively focused on providing you, our fans, with the very best experienc- es possible at our ballparks. Thomas Walraven hit a sacrifice fly that scored Michael Woodworth with the tying run. Gary SouthShore took the lead on an Alec Olund RBI single and a Raymond Jones RBI double. The RailCats scored seven times with two outs in the bottom of the second. Woodworth doubled home Hayden Schilling to make it 4-1. After an error and a walk extended the inning, Walraven hit an RBI single. Olund followed with a two-run triple, while Raymond Jones’ RBI single and Jackson Smith’s two-run double capped the inning. Jones hit a two-out, RBI double in the bottom of the fourth, and the RailCats extended the lead to 12-1 three batters later when Brandon Zaragoza was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The RailCats’ final run came in the bottom of the sixth on a two-out, RBI single from Woodworth.

(June 25, 2015) - The Fort Myers Miracle are pleased to announce that the 2016 Florida State League All-Star Game will be hosted at the newly renovated Hammond Stadium at the CenturyLink Sports Complex. The 55th All-Star Game in league history will be played for a sixth time in Fort Myers since 1985 and will be put on by the Miracle for a fifth time. A three-day All-Star break will commence on Friday, June 17 and end on Sunday, June 19. The game will be played on Saturday, June 18 at 7:05 p.m. “We are thrilled to show off this state-of-the art facility after the renovations and upgrades that have improved the fan experience the last two seasons,” said Miracle Chief Operating Officer Steve Gliner. “This event will be a great opportunity not just for local fans, but also for guests from around Florida and the United States to come and experience Fort Myers, Hammond Stadium and the beautiful Southwest Florida region.” Hammond Stadium and the CenturyLink Sports Complex underwent a two-phase, $48.5 million dollar renovation that began during the fall of 2013 and was completed prior to Minnesota Twins Spring Training in the spring of 2015.
