Gorey Community School has a history of producing some of the best school musicals in the country, winning several major awards along the way! This year we’re back with a bang!

When you make a pact with the devil, what's the worst that can happen?

The story of Faust is brought to life in an explosion of hit songs, high energy dance routines and glitter-ball spinning action. Get, ready to hit that floor and burn, baby, burn... in ‘Disco Inferno’ It’s the summer of 1976. Outside, the weather is as hot as the fashion and passion are on the dance floor and Jack is about to celebrate a 21st birthday he’ll never forget. Working late in a London Dance Club, ‘Disco Inferno’, Jack meets Lady Marmalade – the devil’s right hand lady. Dreaming of becoming successful, he makes a Faustian pact with her trading his soul to fulfil his wildest fantasies. Sound like an ideal bargain? Think again. He becomes an instant international success. However, success proves hollow. Jack has fame and fortune but loses his girlfriend, Jane. With the help of his friends will he win her back or is all lost? You'll have to see the show to find out!

This highly acclaimed musical combines a hilarious script, fantastic characters and a score of hits from an unforgettable era of glitter, flares and platform shoes. Featuring numbers like YMCA, Celebrate Good Times, Pop Muzik & I Will Survive, ‘Disco Inferno’ is a high energy musical guaranteed to warm hearts, get feet tapping and audiences leaving the auditorium grinning! And to add to the buzz we would like you, our audience members, to get in on the vibe and strut your stuff in your best 70’s costumes!! Spot prizes will be given out every night for Best Costume and Best Effort, so get raiding those attics!

The show runs from 17th - 22nd October inclusive with Monday and Tuesday nights being preview nights, tickets will be available from the school in person and over the phone and go on sale soon!!
