The following is an abbreviated version of an address from the pulpit, taught in the catechism classes and delivered by the editor at our annual Seminary Day, held upheld in our families. It is part of the manifold wisdom of God to create all His people different from each other, so that not two of them are alike in every respect. This is also true of His ministers. What are some of the unique qualities of Dr. Bilkes? As one who has known him for many years, I can say that in addition to being a faithful preacher, he excels as a caring pastor and he is a hard worker. Until recently and before his stroke and hip fracture, he was on duty 24/7 and got by with less sleep than most of us.
