ORLANDO, Fla. | The Florida A&M University football team could not slow down the high-powered offense of 17th-ranked Central Florida as the Knights cruised to a 62-0 victory in the 2019 season opener on Thursday night at Spectrum Stadium. The Rattlers (0-1) elected to receive off the opening kickoff, but Florida A&M went three-and-out and were forced to punt the football. Central Florida (1-0) immediately went to work on its opening drive. The Knights went 80 yards, in just five plays, and used 1:04 off the clock as Brandon Wimbush connected with Gabriel Davis for a 37-yard touchdown to give UCF an early 7-0 advantage with 13:33 remaining in first quarter. With the Rattlers unable to move the football, UCF went 71 yards, on 12 plays, as Dylan Barnas booted a 42-yard field goal to extend the lead to 10-0 with 5:36 left.
