The CD is compiled from at least 3 different performances and while I found the sound to be adequate to mediocre, the quality of their material does seem to shine through. While I wouldn’t put the band in my own personal Top 10 of 1970’s rockers, they are pretty good. I think it is a shame I wasn’t musically aware in the 70’s because I probably would have liked the band. They’ve got a lively and energetic sound tied to that particular era and it does keep the ears engaged, even during the first half of the disc where the quality of the recording isn’t even as good as some bootlegs I’ve listened to over the years. The audio quality is the biggest problem I had with the entire disc. I think if you are going to reissue this type of album, you really need to make the sound more Official Site presentable than what a typical bootlegger could accomplish. You want to check out tracks like “Detroit Girls”, “Any Way That You Want It”, and “Cherry Baby” in particular, but surprisingly at least to me, each song is pretty good. It is only the fourth signature amplifier that we have produced and I feel it is a great addition to this select range. I first met Randy when he came to the factory in January 1980. He had not long ago joined Ozzy Osbourne and they were working on their first album. He came here knowing exactly what he was looking for, he just needed to find the amplifier that was going to be capable of delivering the power, the tone, and the reliability that he wanted, but was also in keeping with the image that he was to be recognised by. Randy almost found everything he was searching for in a standard 1959 head, but the tone was not quite right. He spent some time with my Service Manager, explaining the slight difference he was looking for, and after a few trials we were able to fit a modification which made the subtle change to the standard tone of the 1959. Randy left the factory to proudly stand in front of his white Marshall stack for all of his hugely successful, but sadly too brief career with Ozzy Osbourne. In this time the legendary guitarist could be seen by thousands of fans, performing in front of his Marshall stack – a sight to behold and a triumphant assault on the ears. Our design team have spent many hours investigating the original Randy Rhoads amplifier, speaking to the Randy Rhoads family, talking to people who knew Randy and heard him play, and talking to the Service Manager who was at the factory when Randy came in and made the modification to the amplifier.

I would say, the reception has been fantastic, its phenomenal to be honest. The reviews are great, it's even getting airplay on the radio, it's getting on the charts, even the mainstream medias in Sweden are picking it up and writing about it. I never ever experienced that they write about something like this. Yes, I just saw that you posted that you are on nu. 4 or nu. 5 on the Swedish hard rock charts today, which is really good. You never had any prior success on the charts with your other bands or projects? Yes, with Eclipse and with W.E.T. we actually went to nu.1, a couple of years ago. If it wasn't, well I mean, that almost the same day Dream Theater released their album, just one week earlier Megadeth and Avantasia the same day, there are so many good bands and big names. If we would have released it a month later, maybe the competition would not have been so big, maybe we could have landed on nu. 1 Yes, so I wanted to ask you, you have collaborated for Nordic Union with a very big singer, Ronnie Atkins.

    ! Formed in 1985, by singer/bassist Mem V. Stein and guitarist Ray Mensh, EXUMER went on to release two albums in 1986 (Possessed by Fire), and 1987 (Rising from the Sea), that are regarded as some of the most cult thrash metal releases ever to come out of Germany. EXUMER was also one of the first thrash metal acts to capture exotic, foreign markets like Poland and Brazil, where their albums were domestically released in the 1980s. The subsequent tours that followed those releases secured the band live shows in front of thousands of fans and an unusually large following outside of Germany. Plagued by line-up changes and internal turmoil the band broke up in 1990, and did not perform live, with the exception in 2001 at the prestigious Wacken Open Air Festival, until 2009. Mem and Ray decided to re-activate EXUMER in 2008, and the band embarked on their first tour since 1988, where they played 5 shows in April/May of 2009. The "5 Nights of Fire Tour", took the band through Europe (Germany, Holland, Greece), and the USA, where they headlined the "Thrasho de Mayo Festival", in front of 1300 fans in Los Angeles. More live dates and tours followed in 2010 and in 2011, EXUMER completed writing and arranging material for their first new album in 24 years. The band chose Waldemar Sorychta (Grip Inc., Therion, Sodom, Moonspell, etc.), to produce their 10-track strong, hard hitting CD; Fire & Damnation. Released worldwide via Metal Blade Records in April of 2012, Fire & Damnation catapulted EXUMER back in the forefront of the international music markets and the following live assaults in 2012 & 2013; only further cemented the band's cult status among the ranks of classic thrash metal acts in the world! EXUMER has embarked on tours and festivals in Mexico, South America and Europe since the release of Fire & Damnation, and finally released their first official video clip to the title song of their latest album, shot entirely in Sao Paulo/Brazil in 2012.
