Island Memorial Day Weekend Freight Memorial Day Weekend - Public Meeting Notice *Due to higher than usual vehicle and foot traffic, Casco Bay Freight Carts Lines will be providing additional service to and from Peaks Island for the Memorial Day weekend:

Quick Links Thursday, May 24th The car ferry to Peaks Island will run through the 10:30 pm Scenic Cruises departure from Portland (10:55 pm departure from Peaks Island) Music Cruises Friday, May 25th Private Charters & The car ferry to Peaks Island will run regularly scheduled Group Tours service.

Lobster Bakes Saturday, May 26th The car ferry to Peaks Island will run regularly scheduled Sailing Schedule service.

Passenger Fares Sunday, May 27th The car ferry to Peaks Island will run regularly scheduled service. There will be additional passenger service (on other vessels) to Peaks Island at 12:15, 1:10, 2:15, 3:15, 4:30, and 5:35. There will be additional passenger service from Peaks Island at 12:45, 1:35, 2:45, 3:45, 5:00 and 6:00.

Monday, May 28th The car ferry to Peaks Island will run on a Sunday/Holiday schedule.

Memorial Day Weekend Freight

Traditionally, Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest weekends of the year at . We ask that you arrive as early as possible, especially if you are shipping freight. Freight capacity is finite on all trips, and for that reason, it is possible your freight may be delayed to the next scheduled trip. We will give priority to groceries, personal items and island store/restaurant items. Freight such as building supplies, furniture and appliances will be shipped based on availability and may have to wait until after the holiday. If you have any freight questions please call the freight department at 207-774-7871 x116.

Public Meeting Notice - Schedule/Fleet Analysis Project

Please join Casco Bay Lines at an informational public meeting to discuss the proposed outcomes from the Schedule/Fleet Analysis Project.

Representatives of Casco Bay Lines will be present on May 23, 2018 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the main conference room of the Ferry Terminal building located at 56 Commercial Street in Portland to present the proposed recommendations for the project, listen to concerns, receive comments and answer questions from anyone interested in the project.

A short presentation of the process and options considered will be made at 4:40 PM to allow for as many people as possible who reside on the islands to stop, be informed and provide comments while still being able to make connections with the evening commuter trips to the islands.

Anyone with an interest is invited to attend and participate in the meeting. Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities. Auxiliary aids will be provided upon advanced request.

Freight Carts

Islanders are asked to look for Casco Bay Lines freight carts on their respective islands and let CBL know if any are found. All carts need to be returned to the island wharves ASAP. The freight carts are very expensive items ($600 per cart) for CBL to replace.
