Whether you choose to come to Dundas for a special event, business meeting or team building within the estate, you will be coming to one of Scotland’s most historic buildings. Our ‘Auld Keep’ is over six undas hundred years old. The modern Castle was built just two hundred D years ago! My wife has carefully decorated every room with taste and colour. Each room has central heating and every bathroom has piping hot water. This definitely makes us the cosiest Castle in Scotland.
The grounds are renowned for their beauty and include a loch, which astle has all kinds of wildlife upon it including swans, ducks, coots and C herons. The estate, cared for with pride by our groundsmen, has lush green lawns, majestic trees and resident llamas. Sporting facilities include a squash court, tennis court, off road driving course and a nine-hole golf course.
We are only twenty minutes’ drive from the centre of Edinburgh and fifteen minutes from the airport. You can venture north to the Highlands or play golf on any of the twenty or so famous courses within an hour’s drive of the Castle.

Every occasion deserves the best possible food and drink. Whether it’s a seven course formal dinner, BBQ on the lawn, intimate banquet in the medieval Stag Chamber, or Scottish breakfast following the ‘main event’, we promise to exceed your expectations.
We have worked in partnership with our catering team for over twenty years. As such, they have extensive knowledge and a wealth of experience when it comes to creating delicious dishes and menus to suit every occasion.
You will be provided with a large range of menu choices and work closely with a dedicated Events Co-ordinator to assist throughout your preparations.
Accommodation
Dundas Castle has 17 luxurious bedrooms and can accommodate up to 37 adult guests. Each room is individually designed and includes original features whilst benefiting from modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, bathrobes and a complimentary whisky night cap. These can be booked in addition to the exclusive hire of the Castle. Activities
With a 9-hole golf course, outdoor tennis court and indoor squash court located within the Dundas Estate, your guests can enjoy these amenities at their leisure. Country pursuits and highland games can also be arranged for an adventure filled day within the Dundas Estate. External activities such as boat trips on the River Forth, local beer tastings and trips to Edinburgh City Centre can easily be organised for your group to explore more of what Scotland has to offer. We held an awards event for 80 people at Dundas Castle… this involved Highland Games in the grounds followed by the “ awards ceremony in the evening. The organisation by the
staff at Dundas was exemplary and our attendees thoroughly
enjoyed themselves with many saying it was the best event we had ever held. The Castle and grounds are absolutely beautiful. I was one of the people fortunate to stay overnight “ in the Castle and my room was incredible! I can’t recommend Dundas highly enough – nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they went out of their way to make our event run as smoothly as possible.
