Welcome Letter from Chauncey Carrick and Peter Goff 55th IADA Conference Co-Chairs Welcome to the 2021 Illinois Athletic Directors Association State Conference. Improvise + Determination + Persistence = Happy Student with Great Culture is not just the theme of this conference, but what we have had to do this entire school to ensure that our students had a positive experience. The individuals that we have brought in to be our Keynote Speakers have all built great cultures that led to success. Our three keynote speakers, Mike Smith, Jim Scherr, and Bret Bielema, have all built great cultures during their careers. They understand what we, as Athletic Directors, are doing to create a positive culture in our schools. They bring a wealth of knowledge that will give us some great ideas to bring back and make our schools better, for the students and coaches. We also want to relax and celebrate getting through this trying school year. Enjoy the conference, enjoy each other’s company, and enjoy seeing friends you have not seen in over a year. We want you to find those nuggets to improve your programs but also to unwind from a year that had us spun super tight.
