INTO THE BREACH - Session 10 – Sacramental Life

In our ongoing series of providing a executive summary of “INTO THE BREACH” (see past bulletins for full details of this enlightening and family orientated series), this week we highlight the 10th session – Sacramental Life. Here’s the direct web address: https://www.kofc.org/en/campaigns/into-the- breach.html We hope your family, friends & you will benefit from watching. And may Christ grant us salvation!

“The world is a battle ground between Heaven & Earth, between good and evil... we need to put on the full armor of God, including the incredibly powerful channels of grace called the Sacraments” ~Jim Burnham, Catholic apologist

You may regularly ask yourself how it’s possible to keep going in the face of adversities like mental illness, financial hardship, relationship struggles and more. Anxiety over these difficulties can distract each one of us from pursuing spiritual matters.

In light of these obstacles, it’s a real challenge to maintain belief in the mysteries that comprise the Catholic faith. If you are at the point in which you doubt the existence of the Trinity - Who we celebrated last weekend - recognize that those three persons are ultimately beyond human comprehension. While many people are at the border of belief and disbelief, the Catholic Church provides everyone with amazing treasures to sustain the battle of faith.

Your continued understanding & participation in the Sacraments will provide the perseverance necessary to live a fulfilling life - one that’s marked by faith, hope & generosity. Why? Well, the Sacraments provide us with the spiritual gear & tactics to combat sin, doubt & despair.

You may find it helpful to recall that Christ Jesus makes his presence known through them. Especially as we consume the Eucharist, He asks you, “Will you welcome my friendship? Will you allow me to transform your wounds? Will you allow me to lead you to salvation?”

Please contact Membership Chair Brent Smith at [email protected] or Grand Knight Mark Jatczak at 630- 263-8377 or [email protected] to learn more about the values and benefits of membership in the Knights of Columbus. You can also gain some general overview by visiting www.kofc.org Keep saving your Pop tops! Fr. Michael J. McGivney Pray your needs to Fr. McGivney, asking for his love and blessings for your miracle. Fr. McGivney is now Blessed Fr McGivney and with prayers and intercession will soon join the Saints of Catholic Church. If you ex- perience what you believe to be an interces- sion, please go to kof.org and report it
