The Anglican Parish of -Prebbleton, situated on the southern boundary of City, is looking for a Vicar to lead their mission and ministry.

Halswell, a fast growing suburb has extensive new housing developments. Saint Mary’s Anglican Church, hall and office, are centrally located opposite major retail facilities, offering a very visible presence.

Prebbleton, 7 km away, is mid-way between Christchurch and Lincoln. Like Halswell, it is growing rapidly and is a preferred town in which to build and live. All Saints Church and attached lounge are at the northern town entrance opposite the local school.

The vicarage is new and positioned between the two centres. The parish is viable and able to support full time ordained ministry with some part-time paid assistance. The potential for growth is extraordinary, and the parish seeks a priest with a commitment to grow the two church communities.

Children’s Ministry Developer for the Diocese of Christchurch 25 hours per week. The Diocese of Christchurch seeks a children’s ministry developer who will enable parishes to re-imagine their outreach to children and offer education that engages the whole family.

The successful candidate will have a theological education and experience with children and family ministry. He/she will be a member of the Diocesan Mission Team and work closely with parish clergy, staff and volunteers and collaborate with the Youth Ministry Developer and the Child Poverty Solution Advocate of the Diocese of Christchurch.

Expressions of Interest should be addressed to [email protected] Deadline for applications is 20 June2015 Young Adults’ Ministry Leader, St Christopher’s, Parish of The Young Adults’ Ministry Leader is a leadership role, developing the Young Adults’ ministry and coordinating with the Youth Worker to provide oversight for the Youth Ministry at St Christopher’s.

Priorities for the role include growing disciples for Jesus and a Christ-centred community where hospitality, worship, reconciliation and care for one another is well integrated. The role would have responsibility for the weekly 6pm service, which is an important space for the young adult and youth communities. It would also have input and oversight of regular small groups and studies where young adults can have the opportunity to encounter Jesus and to grow in their faith.

The role is paid for 20 hours per week and reports to the Vicar.

The position requires someone gifted and passionate in growing ministries and young leaders. The successful applicant will be able to meaningfully engage with young adults at a personal and pastoral level as well as at a group level. He or she will be an effective communicator, able to build ownership and accountability into community culture and ensure good communication with parishioners, staff and other ministry leaders.

Anglican Parish of Cleveland: Associate Priest Full-Time The Anglican Parish of Cleveland, South East Brisbane, Qld has a vacancy for a full-time Associate Priest to minister in collaboration with the Priest in Charge.

The Parish of Cleveland is a geographically and ecclesiastically diverse parish with five centres and six churches based across the Redlands and Moreton Bay Islands. In addition to parish wide ministry the Associate Priest will be responsible for the development of the congregations and communities at Redland Bay, Russell Island and Macleay Island. The southern Redlands is the fastest growing area of the parish with a number of established communities, new subdivisions, retirement villages and aged care facilities excellent schools and community services.

Date of commencement of ministry to be negotiated. Stipend will be at the rate set by the diocese. Housing and other allowances will be in accordance with Diocesan regulations. St Andrew’s, Cambridge – Full-tim e Vicar and Priest-in-Charge The Anglicans built their church on the corner of Victoria Street and Hamilton Road in 1881, and is often described as “The white church on the corner” and have worshipped there now for over 133 years, in the care of 14 Vicars. In 2015 we are seeking the 15th vicar to care for the congregation and community of Cambridge.

There is a Wednesday morning Communion service, and up to 3 Sunday morning services. There are 5 rest-home services during the month, taken by a roster of non-stipendiary priests, and 6 Anglican services a year at Kaipaki Church. St Andrew’s has a patronal festival each year, a pet service on St. Francis’s Day, a Seder supper followed by Stripping the Church on Maundy Thursday, a three hour vigil on Good Friday and an Armistice Day service. On Ash Wednesday, we join with the congregation of St. Peter’s Catholic Church for the imposition of ashes. This service alternates between the two churches.

Cambridge is a fast-growing community, with St Andrew’s at its heart. The parish is seeking a vicar with a view and understanding of the big picture but an appreciation of the detail that makes up the story of the community. The church continues to explore ways of addressing needs in our community, and connecting with other groups to serve these needs. The church is also looking to grow ministry to children, youth and families.
