Last year's European champion two-year-old filly, Rumplestilskin, was never at the races (in season, might not have liked the ground, either), while the filly with the best form in the field, last year's G1 Fillies' Mile winner Nannina, from Medicean's first crop, posi- tively hated the ground, and trailed in second-last.
