It is mandatory to upload the farmer coverage on the National Portal www.pmfby.gov.in by the concerned Financial Institutions / intermediaries 2. Season Insurance coverage under the scheme would be provided for Apple, Mango, Citrus, Plum & Peach fruit crops for the Rabi season 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23. 3. Crops to be covered The Apple, Mango, Citrus, Plum & Peach fruit crops of trees in age category >5 years of age are to be covered during Rabi 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23 seasons in the areas mentioned in the point no. 5 below. 4. Implementing Agencies On the basis of online tender process completion and the weighted average mean of premium quoted by each company for all the fruit crops in a district Iffco-Tokio GIC Ltd., HDFC Ergo GIC Ltd. and Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd. has been allocated cluster I, II & III respectively. The fruit wise term sheets describing insurance covers with risk period, weather parameters/strikes/triggers and corresponding pay-out/sum- insured and premium payable etc. for Rabi season 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022- 23 are attached at Annexure-1 to 32. 5. Area approach The scheme shall operate on the principle of “Area Approach” in selected notified Reference Unit Areas. Area Approach signifies that a Reference Unit Area shall be considered as a unit area of insurance for the purpose of acceptance of risk and assessment of compensation as well.
