Culinary arts was an impulse for Riza Parsons at a time when she was feeling burnt out pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism. A foray into the epicurean field, though, effectively led to her current multi-faceted career as a caterer, a busi- ness owner and a food writer. “I knew I liked to write,” says Riza, “but I didn’t really have a focus in my writing.
