For the seventh consecutive year, the CFL will host a trio of regional combines ahead of the CFL Combine. Following the Western Regional Combine in Edmonton, Montréal will host the Eastern Regional Combine on March 13 at the Scitec Sports Dome in Baie-D’Urfé, and Toronto will host the Ontario Regional Combine on March 21 at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport and Varsity Stadium. The CFL, with input from all teams, will then invite additional players from the regional combines to the national event in Toronto depending on player performance.

Culinary Arts ’10, B.A. Journalism and Public Communications ’12 Culinary arts was an impulse for Riza Parsons at a time when she was feeling burnt out pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism. A foray into the epicurean field, though, effectively led to her current multi-faceted career as a caterer, a busi- ness owner and a food writer. “I knew I liked to write,” says Riza, “but I didn’t really have a focus in my writing. The 2009 women’sSWATCH FIVB World Tour started in April at Brasília and will conclude at the start of November in Thailand. The US$190,000 Seoul Open is the second of four women’sonly events on the 2009 SWATCH FIVB World Tour calendar. Two of the 13 double gender events have been played in Brazil and China with the next combined men’s and women’s event being the 2009 SWATCH FIVB World Championships presented by ConocoPhillips in Stavanger, Norway. May 26-31, Seoul Open, $190,000 - The SWATCH FVB World Tour returns to Seoul for the third-straight season as the Asian country hosted its first three international Beach Volleyball events in Pusan (1995-1997). After teams from the United States won the three Pusan women’s gold medals, pairs from Australia and China have topped the first two Seoul podiums. Natalie Cook, Australia's three-time Olympian and Sydney 2000 gold medal winner, captured the inaugural Seoul stop in 2007 with Tamsin Barnett as the pair upset top-seeded Jia Tian and Jie Wang of China 21-19 and 21-19 in the 44-minute finale. Chen Xue and Xi Zhang of China, the bronze medal winners at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, won the 2008 Seoul Open by defeating Brazilians Shelda Bede and Ana Paula Connelly 21-15 and 21-12 in the finals.
