For immediate release TRIBUTE TO 1967 CHAMPION MAPLE LEAFS TO BE HELD MARCH 22 AT METRO TORONTO CONVENTION

(Friday, January 5, 2007: Toronto) A majority of the 1967 Stanley Cup champion team will be in attendance on Thursday, March 22, 2007 when a gala dinner celebration will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to pay tribute to the 40th anniversary of the last time hockey's most cherished trophy was won in this city.

More than twenty members of that celebrated Leaf squad will be present at the dinner, along with at least 25 other celebrities from various walks of life. Joining the likes of Bobby Baun, , , , , and will be Hall of Famers Jean Beliveau, Dick Duff, Phil Esposito and Brian McFarlane, recording artist Michael Burgess and media personalities Gord Stellick, Mark Hebscher, Elliotte Friedman and Andy Frost.

Attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception followed by a sumptuous meal and extraordinary gifts, including a team-signed lithograph, a rare commemorative hockey card set and photographs with the Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy. Following dinner, guests will enjoy live interviews with the 1967 Maple Leafs, entertainment provided by ' organist Ralph Fraser, rare video footage, as well as many other surprises. An incomparable live and silent auction will also take place.

Net proceeds from this gala event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Canada, which does remarkable work granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

That weekend, the players will re-assemble for the largest hockey collectibles show in Canadian history. The Stanley Cup champions will be appearing at the 1967 Leafs Reunion Sports Autograph and Memorabilia Show, also at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
