Two new freshwater gobies from Halmahera, Maluku, Indonesia (Teleostei: Gobioidei: Sicydiinae)

Two new species are described from Halmahera. Lentipes adelphizonus, new species, has two broad dusky to blackish bars in the male, one ventral to fi rst dorsal fi n; one between second dorsal and anal fi ns; 16-18 pectoral fi n rays; in fi rst dorsal fi n, membrane touching anterior base of second dorsal fi n; black spot between spine and fi rst ray in second dorsal fi n, spot sometimes elongate forming a short bar; preopercular pores M, N and O present along preopercular margin; papilose fi nger-like projections anterior to urogenital papilla. Sicyopus exallisquamulus, new species, has 14-15 pectoral rays; both sexes with small widely spaced scales ventral to fi rst dorsal fi n, ctenoid in male, cycloid in female; both sexes with lobes associated with urogenital papilla; in male, fi rst dorsal fi n with spines 3 and/or 4 fi lamentous.
