My Favorite Movie By Allie Davidson

My favorite movie is Finding Dory. Dory goes on an exciting adventure to Monterey Bay, California to find her mom and dad. On the way to find her parents she makes some new friends named Bailey and Hank that help her find her parents. This is a great movie for kids and could be fun for adults, too. This is a great example of friendship. What is great about this movie is that it is a sequel of Finding Nemo and Nemo and his dad Marlin return in Finding Dory. Dory also finds a old friend named Destiny. So some of the characters in Finding Nemo are in Finding Dory also. I would recommend this movie.

Weather fluctuation By:Jaeden Hettinger

The weather fluctuation in February has been

insane. Two weeks ago it was snowing. The week

after that Tuesday was one day that was beautiful.

This weekend has been so beautiful. Saturday was

73 degrees. Sunday was was around the same as Saturday. Sunday was 80 degrees. If you sat inside and played video games last weekend then you needed to get outside. Having said that I squandered this beautiful opportunity to get outside. The 24,25,and 26 of February is supposed to be in the lower 40’s.

Caleb VanDeVelde

The West Central football team is

looking to improve their football

field in many different ways. The

next big project the football team

is to make a new locker room.

This new locker room is going to be a huge upgrade for West Central. Their locker room that they are currently in lacks space for the entire team.

Alex Ebbing had said “We are just looking for new ways to get more people out for football and we feel one of the best ways to do that is to get the kids excited for new equipment.” The coaching staff for the Cougars always say they like to give back to the kids for what they put into the program. Alex Ebbing has done many changes for the kids since he has moved here along with the other coaches.

The new locker room will be built for the next upcoming season of 2017. Alex

Ebbing, Adam Brockhouse, and Grant Dewitt will be building the new locker room for the team.

Chase Burk Winchester Play: Cinderella

The Winchester Play is all about a girl named Cinderella and she lives with two other sisters and her mom. Cinderella has it rough because she is always mistreated and gets the short end of the stick. Her stepsisters get dressed up to go to a ball dance and Cinderella can’t go because her stepmother won’t let her, but then a fairy godmother comes to the rescue and gets her a dress and a nice chariot and white horses to take her there. Cinderella goes to the ball dances with the prince and she wins his heart. Cinderella then had to be home by midnight and lost her shoe running out of the ball dance and the prince follows her to find her shoe lying on the step. Then the prince goes on a big hunt to find the girl and he checks every girl in the land to see if their foot fits the shoe that Cinderella left behind that night.

In the play Miss Killebrew is the assistant and Miss Messenger is the head person of the whole play. Kirsten Jefferson is doing vocals for the play and she also does makeup. Hannah Pate is also helping with the play this year as well as Tom Welch he builds stuff for the play as well as work the spotlights. Kristie Clayton also helps out she is a Senior at Winchester High School and she does all the audio and sound for the play.

I had the chance to interview Miss Killebrew about why she is helping with the play and how long she has been doing it. She said “She does it because she likes to help and she did it while she was in high school.” Miss Killebrew and Miss Messenger has been doing the play for two years now! They said that they love every bit of it and love the crowd that comes out!

Family Guy By: Andrew (Fluff) Armstrong

Family Guy is a television show that is comical. It’s a show that’s supposed to make you laugh and enjoy your night. It mainly starts around 7:30 p.m, and just goes until around

12:00 or 1:30. The show was created by Seth MacFarlane in

1999, and debuted January 31. On the show the characters include Peter, the father, Lois, the mother, Chris, the clueless middle child, Meg, the oldest child, and Stewie, the youngest yet smartest of all the family, and Brian, the family pet that can talk.

Normally on the show Peter always drinks or does something completely pointless and gets hurt. Then Lois is usually the one that keeps Peter in check, and she takes care of Stewie at home all day. Personally I think that the show is entertaining, but when I watch it it’s usually when I’m going to bed or falling asleep. So for me it’s a nice way to go to bed, enjoying a goofy show. So if you don’t know what Family Guy is, you should check it out, every season has been put on Netflix if you would like to take a gander at it.

Ethan Hartley New Sign in Winchester Gym

The Winchester Grade school gym has got a

new sign. It is a big jumbotron, which is a large

screen television that can do just about

anything. The Winchester Sports Boosters

bought this sign for around 30,000 dollars. As of

right now it has been used during basketball

games. The boys and girls have made short

videos to have pop up on the screen when they

check into the game. There is also a short video that they put up when they do starting lineups, and after the video is over they announce the starting lineup and as they say the name of the 5 starters, their video pops up on the screen.

During the games they have advertisements that appear on the screen. You can put your advertisement up on the screen by calling the Winchester High School Office.

The Winchester office has done a great job for getting people to buy advertisements.

They have been calling around numerous towns to try and get businesses to buy advertisement pages. Once the Jumbotron gets paid off the sports booster will make nothing but profit. It cost 300 dollars to have your advertisement on the jumbotron all basketball season.
