Frühjahrsprogramm Geophyta (Pdf) Verehrte Kundschaft, mit einigem Zögern und doch dankbar nehme ich das Angebot des Gärtnerhofs wahr, Ihnen auf diesem Wege mein Frühjahrsprogramm darstellen zu können.     Iris Sibirica and others Iris Albicans Known as Cemetery Iris as is planted on Muslim cemeteries. Two different species use this name; the commoner is just a white form of Iris germanica, widespread in the Mediterranean. This is widely available in the horticultural trade under the name of albicans, but it is not true to name. True Iris albicans which we are offering here occurs only in Arabia and Yemen. It is some 60cm tall, with greyish leaves and one to three, strongly and sweetly scented, 9cm flowers. The petals are pure, bone- white. The bracts are pale green. (The commoner interloper is found across the Mediterranean basin and is not entitled to the name, which continues in use however. The wrongly named albicans, has brown, papery bracts, and off-white flowers). Our stock was first found near Sana’a, Yemen and is thriving here, outside, in a sunny, raised bed. Ht. 50cm Iris chrysographes Dykes (William Rickatson Dykes, 1911, China); Section Limniris, Series Sibericae; 14-18" (35-45 cm), B7D; Flowers dark reddish violet with gold streaks in the signal area giving it its name (golden writing); Collected by E. Rakhimova ABSTRACT: The anatomical structure of a leaf of 2 endemics - Iris korolkowii and Iris stolonifera under conditions of introduction of the Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan was studied. The following diagnostic features of the leaf were determined: rectilinear, round- oval outline of epidermal cells; submerged, numerous stomata of anomocytic type; isolaterally-spongy type of mesophyll leaf; closed, collateral type vascular bundles. INTRODUCTION Preservation of species diversity is a priority, as the botanical gardens and collectors around the world. Plant protection can be carried out both in the form in situ, that is, in habitats of species, and in the form of ex situ, that is, by creating and maintaining the conditions necessary for conservation. Along with traditional methods of ex situ conservation of plants it is becoming increasingly important to use for these purposes the culture of isolated tissues and organs (Kamelin, 1997). The genus Iris L. is the most polymorphic in the homonym family with more than 200 species (Takhtadzhyan, 1982). In the flora of Uzbekistan, this genus includes more than 30 species.

The article explores the representatives of the Liliaceae and Iridacea families, which are scattered in the in Tarkapchigai botanical-geographical region. It is known that Central Asia is the center of origin of geophytes (monocotyledon). During the study, from the Liliaceae family in this area Tulipa L. (6 species), Gagea Salisb. (12 species), Fritillaria L. (1 species) and from the Iridaceae family Crocus L. (1 species), Iris L. (7 species), Gladiolus L. (1 species) of were recorded. Some of them are very special – never before offered, some are returned after very long interruption – they were so popular, that we oversold our stocks and it took a lot of years to rebuilt them. Some are more ordinary things – for those who only start growing of rare bulbs and have little experience. In some words – bulbs for every taste and possibilities, but most important, that all bulbs offered by us are grown and multiplied only in our nursery – we are not selling bulbs from nature. We have to say that the passed season was one of the warmest in my gardening experience, in addition it was the driest, too. There was no rain since end of June and even in October the soil in garden still was very dry. In our unheated tunnel (we use a tunnel to protect bulbs from excessive moisture) shoots of Crocus alatavicus and michelsonii came out of soil in first half of November. But in December temperatures during night fell dawn to minus190 C and there was almost no snow in garden. Fortunately all beds outside are covered with good layer of peat moss and we hope it is sufficient to protect bulbs from frost.
