This application which was approved by the Planning Committee on 19 March 2018, with the decision delegated to the Director of Planning to clear an additional informative regarding the Public Right of Way. The decision notice has been issued with the following additional informative:

Applications Adjacent to the National Park (3024)

18/00505/OL outline planning application for residential development (access to be considered) at land adjacent to 38 Limestone Road, Burniston, Scarborough

The Authority previously commented on a screening opinion for development of this site and recommended no objections. This application as submitted is for a housing scheme on a smaller site area so again the Authority has raised no objections.

R/2018/0071/OO Outline application for residential development (4 units) at Land west of Church Lane, Newton under Roseberry

The Authority has looked at this proposal and whilst the development may not accord with National Park Planning Policies, the proposal would not have a detrimental impact on the setting or character of the National Park consequently, no objections have been made.

18/00391/FUL demolition of garage and alterations, extension and ancillary works to dwelling at Brookside Kilburn North Yorkshire YO61 4AG

The Authority has assessed the details of the proposed development and whilst the property is currently reasonably well screened, the proposed extension would project significantly to the side and the design would be out of character with the host dwelling. The Authority expressed concerns regarding the design and width of the proposed extension and its impact on the street scene.
