Please email, call, and tag these representatives and tell them that we need to help small businesses, not large corporations! We have attached a form letter for you to use if you need guidance.

Thank you!

SUGGESTED FORM LETTER

Dear { Congressman, Congresswoman, Senator, Governor },

I am a { restaurant worker, a frequent diner at locally - owned restaurant, restaurant owner }. I'm writing to you today to change the Keeping Worker Paid and Employed Act to remove the provision that allows large hotels and restaurants (with more than 500 employees) to be classified as small businesses, thus allowing them to take advantage of the loan forgiveness program. We need you to ensure these loans are designed to help those small businesses that truly need it, not the large corporations that have more financial tools to weather this storm. This is the responsible thing to do with taxpayer funds.

We love the varied restaurant landscape of our cities. There is more at stake here than jobs. When this pandemic passes, we want to return to a community that reflects our diversity, values, and spirit. Please save our small restaurants. Our moms and pops need you.

Sincerely, [XXX]
