FREE & LOW COST PROGRAMS - PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE... The Lisle Park District Senior Center is in a very fortunate and unique situation where we are able to offer many programs free of charge or for a very small fee. Please keep in mind that the cost of the program does not reflect the actual value of the program or the time the presenter has spent preparing the program. When you register for a program, whether it be $5 or $50 you have made a commitment to attend the program. We have reserved a space for you, prepared materials for you, purchased food for you, and possibly even hired an entertainer based on your attendance at the program. When you choose not to attend the program your place in the program goes to waste as does any of the food and materials that were allotted for you. Many times there is a waiting list of people who would love to receive a call that a spot is available. In other circumstances, it is discouraging when a presenter expects a certain number of people who have registered for their program to attend, when only a fraction show up. We are asking that you please do not take these inexpensive programs for granted. Only sign up if you are able to attend. After you sign up, request a receipt for your programs and mark them on your calendar. Please call us at 630-969-0992 as soon as you realize you are unable to attend. Thank you ~ Senior Center Staff
