THREE SISTERS WILDERNESS ADDITION

The Three Sisters Wilderness Addition consists of an area in the State of , referenced to the Willamette Meridian. The boundary description modifies the description approved June 10, 1965.

Beginning at a point, which is described on the Three Sisters Boundary Description, approved June 10, 1965; "on a sidehill which is 0.16 mile south of the South Fork McKenzie River." This point is 0.19 mile west of the northeast corner of Sec. 9, 1. 6 E., R.19 S., W.M;

Thence N. 00151 E., 0.16 mile to the north bank of the South Fork McKenzie R i v er;

Thence westerly 3.14 miles along the north bank of the South Fork McKenzie River to an unnamed creek which flows south into the South Fork McKenzie River. Said creek is 3.05 miles, S. 25°3O' E. of Rebel Rock triangulation station, 3.30 miles, N. 46° E. of Chucksney Mtn. triangulation station, and about 1.00 mile easterly of Frissell Crossing Bridge;

Thence northerly 0.18 mile along the east bank of the unnamed creed to a point 3.05 miles, S. 22°40' E. of Rebel Rock triangulation station, and 3.50 miles, N. 44° E. of Chucksney Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence 0.85 mile, N. 79°30' W. to a point on a ridge which is 2.21 miles, S. 63°3O' E. of Rebel Rock triangulation station, and 3.09 miles, N. 31°30' E. of Chucksney Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence westerly 5.18 miles along the 3,200-foot elevation toa point on a ridge which is 1.58 miles, S. 85°3O' W. of Rebel Rock triangulation station, and 4.08 miles, N. 29° W. of Chucksney Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence 0.45 mile, S. 59°30' W., alonga broad ridge to a point 0.18 mile east of the centerline of the South Fork Road No. 19;

Thence northerly, on a location 0.18 mile east of the centerline of the South Fork Road No. 19, for a distance of 2.63 miles toa point on a ridge which is 3.10 miles, N. 46°30' W. of Rebel Rock triangulation station, and 5.15 miles, S. 75°3O' W. of Olallie Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence northeasterly on a location 0.10 mile south of the thread of Rebel Creek for a distance of 1.25 miles toa point 2.55 miles, N. 27° W. of Rebel Rock triangulation station, and 4.08 miles, S. 74° W. of Olallie Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence northerly, on a location 0.19 mile east of the centerline of the South Fork Road No. 19, for a distance of 2.94 miles to a point on Tipsoo Creek which is 0.19 mile east of the centerline of the South Fork Road;

Thence east 0.06 mile, on the south bank of Tipsoo Creek to a point which is 0.25 mile from the centerline of the South Fork Road No. 19;

Thence northerly, on a location 0.25 mile east of the centerline of the East Fork Road No. 19 for a distance of 1.06 miles to the 2,400-foot elevation point on the first ridge south of Smith Creek which is 1.3 miles, S. 7330' W. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 7.75 miles, N. 72 W. of Olallie Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence on a northerly direction for 1.25 miles along the 2,400-foot elevation to a point on the south bank of Slide Creek;

Thence in a westerly direction along the south bank of Slide Creek for 0.13 mile to the 2,240-foot elevation;

Thence northerly along the 2,240-foot elevation for 1.94 miles to a point on the ridge between Walker Creek and the South Fork McKenzie River;

Thence 0.10 mile, N.330W. on the ridge dividing Walker Creek and the South Fork McKenzie River to the 2,000-foot elevation;

Thence southeasterly along the 2,000-foot elevation to the south bank of Walker Creek; Thence southeasterly 0.13 mile along the south bank of Walker Creek to the northeast corner of a timber harvest unit which is 1.98 miles, N. 28 W. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 3.95 miles, S. 3°30' E. of Castle Rock triangulation station;

Thence 0.23 mile, S. 54°30' W. along the northwestern edge of a timber cutting unit to a point 0.02 mile northeast of the centerline of Road No. 1994541;

Thence 0.75 mile on a location 0.02 mile downhill from the centerline of Road No. 1994541 to a point which is 1.75 miles, N. 450 W. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 4.45 miles, S. 0°30' W. of Castle Rock triangulation station;

Thence 0.20 mile, S. 890 W. to the 3,200-foot elevation point which is 1.60 miles, N. 40° W. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 4.45 miles, S. 2° E. of Castle Rock triangulation station;

Thence southeasterly around the ridge between the South Fork McKenzie River and Walker Creek, 1.38 miles along the 3,200-foot elevation toa point which is 1.18 miles, N. 28°30' W. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 4.68 miles, S. 7°30' E. of Castle Rock triangulation station;

Thence northeasterly 0.5 mile to a pointon the thread of Walker Creek which is 0.19 mile upstream the centerline of Road No. 1994;

Thence 3.40 miles in a northwesterly directionon a location 0.19 miles above the centerline of Road No. 1994 toa point 0.18 mile due south of the confluence of the East Fork Creek and the high water mark of ;

Thence 0.18 mile due north to the confluence of East Fork Creek and high water mark of Cougar Reservoir;

Thence easterly 4.40 miles on a location 0.05 mile south of the centerline of the East Fork Road No. 1993, or along the south bank of the East Fork Creek, whichever is nearest the centerline of the East Fork Road No. 1993, to a point 0.05 mile south of the centerline of the East Fork Road No. 1993 550 which is the northwest corner ofa timber harvest unit 4.0 miles, N. Thence 0.21 mile, S. 180301 W. along the west boundary ofa timber harvest unit, to the East Fork Creek;

Thence 3.00 miles along to south and west bank of the East Fork Creek to the 4,000-foot elevation point;

Thence 0.60 mile, S. 29°30' E. to a prominent pointon the ridgetop which is 4.16 miles, S. 85° E. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 3.10 miles, N. 38° W. of Olallie Mtn. triangulation station; Thence northeasterly along the ridge dividing the East Fork Creek drainage and French Pete Creek drainage for 0.31 mile to a point which is 4.43 milesô S. 87° E. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 3.10 miles, N. 33 W. of Olallie Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence southeasterly along a spur ridge 0.30 mile to a point which is 0.06 mile from the centerline of the East Fork Road No. 1993;

Thence 0.50 mile on a location 0.06 mile southwesterly of the centerline of the East Fork Road No. 1993 to the northwest corner of a timber harvest unit which is 5.09 miles, S. 82°30' E. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 2.35 miles, N. 27°30' W. of Olallie Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence 0.20 mile, S. 7° W. along the west boundary of a timber harvest unit to a point which is the southwest corner of the timber harvest unit, and is 5.09 miles, S. 80° E. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 2.19 miles, N. 30° W. of Olallie Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence 0.03 mile, S. 86 E. along the southern boundary of a timber harvest unit to the southeast corner of the timber harvest unit which is located 5.30 miles, 5. 80° E. of Tipsoo Butte triangulation station, and 2.09 miles, N. 25° W. of Olallie Mtn. triangulation station;

Thence 0.25 mile, N. 280 E. along the eastern boundary of a timber harvest unit to a point 0.06 mile south of the centerline of the East Fork Road No. 1993;

Thence easterly 1.25 miles on a location 0.06 mile south of the centerline of the East Fork Road No. 1993, to the saddle in the ridge between the Horse Creek drainage and French Pete Creek drainage commonly known as Pat Saddle;

Thence easterly 1.19 miles along the south bank of the north fork of Mosquito Creek to the confluence with the main fork of Mosquito Creek;

Thence easterly 1.31 miles along the south bank of Mosquito Creek to the confluence with Horse Creek. This point is 0.27 mile, 5. 44° E. of the northwest corner Sec. 28, T. 17 S., R. 6-1/2 E., W.M.;

Thence northerly along the thread of Horse Creekas described in the Three Sisters Boundary Description, approved June 10, 1965.
