I’ve never done something like this before, it has been such a great day. Highlights I was scared before I went on the boat, I didn’t want to fall in the water! But I had such a good time and want to do it again. • 1851 Trust’s first Next Generation Pupil, Bishop Challoner Catholic College Roadshow in Birmingham was well supported by local schools.

• Volunteers from the STEM Ambassador network and Birmingham University supported the Roadshow.

• For nearly all the young people, this was their first on-the-water experience.

Our students have been engaged from start to finish. The activities were the perfect mix of theory and practical with fun hands-on activities. The children have thoroughly enjoyed everything on offer today. I would love to get the pupils into sailing once we’re back at school, I didn’t even realise these facilities were here!
