Najib, Muhyiddin Pay Last Respects To Jamaluddin Jarjis April 5, 2015

KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today spent about 40 minutes visiting the family of the late Tan Sri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis at his residence in The Mines, Seri Kembangan, , Sunday.

Najib arrived at 12.20 pm with his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, daughter Nooryana Najwa and son-in-law Daniyar Kessikbayev to pay their last respects to the late Jamaluddin, who was one of six victims killed in a helicopter crash in Semenyih yesterday.

Jamaluddin, 63, who was the Member of Parliament for Rompin and PR1MA Corporation chairman, was killed when the AS365N2 Dauphin helicopter he was travelling in to return home after attending the wedding reception of Nooryana Najwa and Daniyar in Pekan, , crashed at 4.45 pm.

The other victims of the crash were Datuk Azlin Alias, the principal private secretary of the prime minister, pilot Capt Clifford William Fournier; operations assistant Aidana Baizieva; Jamaluddin's bodyguard Razakan Seran and businessman Datuk Tan Huat Seang.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri also visited the family to pay his last respects.

Among the other visitors at Jamaluddin's residence were the Sultanah of Pahang, Sultanah Hajah Kalsom as well as the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Other VIPs who came to pay their last respects included Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Housing, Urban Wellbeing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong, as well as AirAsia chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandez.
