No known biohazard is associated with this product. Background Tubulin, gamma 1(TUBG1)is a member of tubulin superfamily that mainly localizes to microtubule organiz- ing centers (MOTC), centrioles (parts of centrosome) and spindle poles. TUBG1 is the essential component of gamma tubulin ring complex that regulates alpha/beta chain minus-end nucleation, centrosome duplication and spindle formation. Disruption of gamma Tubulin leads to mitotic arrest and decrease in microtubule quantity. Diseases associated with TUBG1 include Complex Corti- cal Dysplasia with Other Brain Malformations 4 and Pachygyria.
