The procedure will vary according to the location of the injured athlete and according to the communication system being utilized. Please refer to appendices for specific emergency plan for each site. In the event of a serious injury the preferred method for medical assistance is to activate EMS by dialing 911, either by campus phones or cell phone. CCSU Campus police will respond to 911 calls and are trained as first responders. An automated external difibulator (AED), oxygen, and basic first aid equipment are available when campus police arrives on scene.
