He was at his uncle’s farm at compiled by Ron Hoggarth March 2007 Leasgill (Crofts Farm) for ten years or more before moving to Ambleside where his father Henry had re-married in 1853 (Ann Mackereth Shaw)and where he Youngest sister of Henry born 1806 married Sarah Lewis in 1865.
