MATCHUP GAME NOTES • The Purple and Gold matched their longest win streak since the 2010-11 season on Friday evening, as EC earned its eighth consecutive victory with a 7-2 drubbing of United Collegiate Hockey Conference foe Chatham University at the Murray Athletic Center. Five different skaters found the back of the net against the Cougars, headlined by Matthew Cuce ’20 and Connor Powell ’20 who potted two goals apiece. ELMIRA COLLEGE SOARING EAGLES • Against Chatham, the Soaring Eagles showcased their deadly skill on the power play. Elmira (10-3-1, 6-2-0 UCHC) was an astounding 5-for-7 (71.4%) with the extra skater against the Cougars. EC’s five power- play goals marked a season-high and brought the team’s total to 25 for the season. After Fri- day evening’s performance, the Purple and Gold’s power-play unit ranks first in all of Division III with a 36.8% (25-for-68) success rate.

• No. 14-ranked Stevenson enters this evenings contest with an 11-3-0 record on the season with an 8-1-0 mark in conference play.
