On Thursday, April 18, 2013, the Insurance Office of America Inside this issue: presented their 19th annual IOA Corporate 5k. The 5k is a 3.1-mile run/walk event held exclusively for Florida's corporate community. Devereux Florida 5k 1

Spirits were high as participants started the race singing in chorus Eating on a to "Sweet Caroline" as part of an emotional and fitting tribute to Budget 2 the victims and survivors of the bombing at the Boston Marathon. "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond has been played at every Living Healthier Boston Red Sox game since 1997 and is associated with the city of Contest Quiz 2 Boston.

Devereux Florida has been participating in the IOA event for the last eight years. Over the years we have incorporated it as one of our health and wellness events. The number of participants has grown significantly each year and this year we had a total of 50 employees who came out very eager to run/walk. Many of our employees accomplished their personal running or walking time goals.

•The health and wellness year runs from October 1, 2012 until September 30, 2013.

Eating on a Budget – The Third “P” PREPARE

 Some meal items can be prepared in advance; pre‐cook on days

when you have time.

Pre-cook on  Double or triple up on recipes and freeze meal‐sized containers of days when you soups and casseroles or divide into individual portions. have time  Try a few meatless meals by substituting with beans and peas or try

“no‐cook” meals like salads.

 Incorporate leftovers into a subsequent meal.

 Be creative with a fruit or vegetable and use it in different ways

during the week.
