INTRODUCTION / PLANNING PROCESS Lamar Community College Facilities Master Plan SECTION I November 28, 2018 Page 1 of 112 I. INTRODUCTION / PLANNING PROCESS The Facilities Master Plan (FMP) for Lamar Community College (LCC) is a validation of the necessary process of periodic evaluation of the College’s physical resources and environment in the framework of quality academic planning and delivery. This translates into a comprehensive and dynamic document that will guide purposeful decisions with regard to facility development into the future. This Facilities Master Plan is following the 2007 guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) in addition to the 2010 updated guidelines issued by the Colorado Community College System. Lamar Community College is one of the thirteen community colleges in the Colorado Community College System (CCCS), and recently passed its 80th year milestone. Its full-service campus is located in the City of Lamar, Colorado in Prowers County. The previous Facilities Master Plan for LCC was published in 2008 by JBA-1 Incorporated. The target year presented by that plan was for the year 2018 with an anticipated 1.8% overall enrollment increase. Since that publication, there had been an overall steady

That’s why we’re proud of our dual enrollment programs, which allow students to earn college-level credit while in high school. Concurrent Enrollment (CE) and dual enrollment not only save students time and money, but also remedy the deep-rooted inequities across our state. And their popularity is soaring. Nearly 46,000 students participated in dual enrollment programs throughout the state this year, up 10 percentage points from the previous year. This represents more than a third of all juniors and seniors who attend public high school in Colorado. The state-facilitated Concurrent Enrollment program offers extra benefits. Established in 2009, CE connects local education providers, typically high schools, and higher education institutions to deliver college-level coursework in 97 percent of districts statewide. Most CE credits are guaranteed to transfer to every public college, university, and technical school in the state, ensuring more students save money and time on their journey to postsecondary completion.

    SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION: 2014/2015 The CREDIT UNION OF COLORADO FOUNDATION is offering scholarships to students enrolled at any of the 13 colleges of the Colorado Community College System. There will be up to 3 full-time $1,500, and 4 part-time $750 scholarships awarded each year.     TRANSFER GUIDE 2013‐2014 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, DEGREE COMPLETION PROGRAM USING THIS GUIDE: This guide outlines a path for degree completion at Webster University‐ Colorado Springs and Webster University‐ Denver for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration for students entering with an Associate of Arts degree from the Colorado Community College System (CCCS). The CCCS includes Arapahoe Community College, Colorado Community Colleges Online, Colorado Northwestern Community College, Community College of Aurora, Community College of Denver, Front Range Community College, Lamar Community College, Morgan Community College, Northeastern Junior College, Otero Junior College, Pikes Peak Community College, Pueblo Community College, Red Rocks Community College, and Trinidad State Junior College. This guide is not intended to replace individual academic advising. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with a Webster University Admissions representative early on to help ensure a smooth transfer experience. WEBSTER ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants to Webster’s degree completion programs should have successfully completed an associate degree or at least two years of college‐level work (64 semester hours) with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
