Former Lopes

Brandon McCarthy, Arizona Diamondbacksks

“I will always credit LCC for giving me the tools I needed to grow as a baseball player and as a person. I still talk of LCC as being the most important year of my life in making me a better person and also helping me to become a major leaguer and eventual World Series Champion. Coach Crampton has created the premiere baseball school, using the finest facilities and coaches. As a serious baseball player in the state of Colorado, LCC is the place to be.”

Seth Loman, Baltimore Orioles

“I felt honored to be recruited by Lamar knowing its tradition of winning and excellence. The instruction and knowledge poured into me while at Lamar has paid off tremendously in pro ball. Lamar gave me the opportunity to get some serious playing time right away, while competing at a very high level of baseball at the same time. The facilities, coaches, and environment leave you no choice but to make baseball a priority and really advance your skills as well as your baseball careers.”

Scott Elarton, Former MLB Pitcher

“Lamar Community College provides the best educational and athletic environment for today’s student athlete. The unique atmosphere at LCC promotes growth both on the field and in the classroom. Coach Crampton brings a wealth of baseball knowledge to his program, as well as being a strong role model for his players. LCC’s facilities are second to none with indoor and outdoor facilities and an excellent weight room. I am lucky to have the chance to work out with LCC during my off-season, and enjoy sharing my experiences with the players. I believe Lamar Community College is an excellent choice for the young student athlete who wishes to hone both athletic and academic skills.”

Willy Kesler, formerly Seattle Mariners

“I grew more as a baseball player and person while playing at LCC then any other time in my career. Looking back I am confident Lamar Community College was very instrumental in my career path as a player.”

Sean Gleason, Minor League Player

“Choosing Lamar Community College was not only a good decision, but was also the right decision for me. With hard work and discipline on an off the field I was given the opportunity to develop my skills for professional baseball. The exposure I received allowed me to play Division I and now professional baseball.”
