Indicate credential of persons in Part II: FD, FE, PD, PE, and AM when requested.)

17. Are all the clergy members of the conference blameless in their life and official administration? (¶¶604.4, 605.6) All Christians, including pastors, stand in need of God's grace. We acknowledge that we are far from perfect while striving to "go on to perfection". In Christian love, we hold one another accountable for our walk of faith and our calling as pastors. Where charges have been brought against clergy, they are being addressed consistent with the process as defined in the Book of Discipline. In our rapidly changing culture, all of us are struggling to reach out with Christ's love in a way that connects with new people. The task is not easy. Vision, a deep spiritual foundation, and a commitment to changing the status quo are all necessary. This is not a time to be timid, but to take seriously the words of scripture: "Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." (Isaiah 41:10) Vital to our success is the ability to lead through change and engage laity in the process. It is a call to give of ourselves sacrificially for the sake of the Gospel. May God continue to be our strength, our hope and our peace as together we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. 18.
