Saradnik sam više crnogorskih institucija koje se bave BIOGRAFIJA slatkovodnim ribama, ribarstvom, ekologijom i zaštitom. Član sam raznih bioloških organizacija i društava, a u više časopisa sam član Rođen sam 08. 10. 1954. godine u Bosanskom Grahovu gdje redakcijskih odbora. sam završio osnovnu školu i gimnaziju. Pored izvođenja nastave na Odsjeku za biologiju (IBMI) u Podgorici kao asistent ihtiolog, a od 1993 do 1998 sam učestvovao sam u radu komisija za odbranu doktorske disertacije, radio kao asistent na predmetima »Uporedna anatomija i sistematika magistarskog i specijalističkog rada i u više komisija za polaganje kičmenjaka« i »Ekologija životinja« na PMF-u, Odsjek za biologiju. stručnih i državnih ispita. U zvanje docenta izabran sam 07.05. 1999. godine na predmet Područje mog naučno-istraživačkog rada su različiti aspekti »Evolucija«, a kao drugi predmet dodijeljena mi je »Limnologija«, istraživanja slatkovodnih riba i slatkih voda (taksonomija, ekologija, a u zvanje vanredni profesor izabran sam 15. 07. 2004. godine na adaptacija i specijacija, ribarstvo i sl.). Do sada sam učestvovao u predmet »Evolucija« i »Limnologija«, koje sam predavao tokom velikom broju naučnih projekata (preko 20) i većem broju naučno- proteklog perioda, na studijskoj grupi biologija (PMF). stručnih studija i ekspertiza (preko 10), a rukovodilac sam bio u Obavljao sam funkciju V.D. Direktora u Biološkom zavodu osam (8) studija. Iz navedenih oblasti objavio sam oko 45 (1985) i bio šef Odsjeka za biologiju na PMF-u u periodu 1998- publikacija ( naučnih radova u domaćim i inostranim časopisima, 2002. godina. dvije monografije i univerzitetski udžbenik su odobreni za KLASIFIKACIONA BIBLIOGRAFIJA KVANTITATIVNA OCJENA REFERENCI DO POSLEDNJEG IZBORA (Spisak referenci je dat u Biltenu UCG broj 178. od 01. 05. 2004. godine, str. 4-8) UKUPNI 1. The lake’s ecosystem and the associated wetlands, floodplains and karstic formations support a rich and unique flora and fauna, making it a hotspot for biodiversity in Europe. The abundant archaeological, historical and cultural sites testify to the rich cultural he- ritage of the Lake Shkodra region dating from prehistoric times. Currently there are about 600,000 inhabitants in the Lake Shkodra basin, 170,000 of which live in the Albanian part.     Inventory of tourist facilities and capacities in Lake Skadar-Shkodra area INVENTORY OF TOURIST FACILITIES AND CAPACITIES IN LAKE SKADAR-SHKODRA AREA Prepared by LAKE SKADAR-SHKODRA INTEGRATED ECOSYSTEM MANAGEMENT PROJECT July 2011 1 Inventory of tourist facilities and capacities in Lake Skadar-Shkodra area INTRODUCTION Lake Skadar-Shkodra is the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula shared between Montenegro and Albania. The Montenegrin part of the lake and its surrounding area were declared a national park in 1983 and in Albania a Managed Nature Reserve. In 1996 in Montenegro and in 2006 in Albania, Skadar-Shkodra Lake was included in the Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance. Lake Skadar is a wonderful place with mirrored waters, rocky shores and wetlands full of wildlife with more than 270 species of birds, plenty of natural herbs, traditional fishing villages, numerous islet monasteries and cultural heritage sites, fascinating beaches surrounded by karst mountains, various amusing, social and cultutral events. Lake Skadar area is where some of the best wines and organic food in Montenegro can be found, cultivated by the local producers especially in Crmnica and Godinje valleys in Montenegro and Shtoj village in Albania. There are also numerous accomodation facilities, restaurants and shopping centers, on the Montenegrin and Labanian sides of the lake that make this area attractive to hiome and foreign tourists. Being a tourist attraction with all these natural and cultural resources the aim of this inventory is to prepare a joint Montenegrin and Albanian inventory on tourist facilities and capacities of Lake Shkodra area, to promote Lake Skadar-Shkodra as a joint tourist attraction internally and internationally.

    MONTENEGRO PREFACE Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, lies in a broad plain crossed by five rivers and surrounded by mountains, just 20 kilometers from the Albanian border. The city has a population of around 180,000 people. Bombed into rubble during World War II, Podgorica was rebuilt into a modern urban center, with high-rise apartment buildings and new office and shopping developments. While the latest Balkan war had a low impact on the physical structures, the economic sanctions had a devastating effect on employment and infrastructure. With the help of foreign investment, urban renewal is evident throughout the city, but much of it may still appear run down. Podgorica has a European-style town center with a pedestrian- only walking street (mall) and an assortment of restaurants, cafes, and boutiques. To many, its principal attraction is as a base for the exploration of Montenegro’s natural beauty, with mountains and wild countryside all around and the stunning Adriatic coastline less than an hour away. This is a mountainous region with barren moorlands and virgin forests, with fast-flowing rivers and picturesque lakes; Skadar Lake in particular is of ecological significance. The coastline is known for its sandy beaches and dramatic coves: for example, Kotor – the city that is protected by UNESCO and the wonderful Cathedral of Saint Typhoon; the unique baroque Perast; Saint George and Our Lady of the Rock islands – all locations that tell a story of a lasting civilization and the wealth of the most wonderful bay in the world. The area around the city of Kotor is a UNESCO World Heritage site for its natural beauty and historic significance.
