Profile Habbo was born in 1959, May 22th in The Netherlands. As a baby he only kept quiet when his mother turned on the radio. Absorbing 'the structure of classical music' he started composing melodies some years later around the age of 4. Unfortunately Habbo was not exactly raised in a cultural rich family. So he started to play music on a self build guitar. Despite the lack of matching musicians in his neighbourhood he desperately wanted to form a band. So he recruited 'some guys from school' but the result was, of course a complete disaster! After a few years of working as a technical designing engineer on several jobs he quit. To support his wife and kids he worked in several bands as a singer/songwriter, guitarist and bass player in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Denmark playing Top‐40 shit, Country‐ Rock, Blues, Rock & Roll and fusion‐Jazz Rock. All those years he dreamed of his own recording studio. Then the digital revolution changed his world completely. That was in 1993. He bought himself a multitimbral synthesizer, a sampler, a sequencer and a DAT recorder and for the first time he was able to create his own music. After auditioning his demo tracks, EMI Music Publishing offered him a contract for three library albums! In no time his music was published all over the world and heard in many popular American TV series like: Friends, Spin City, The Bold and The Beautiful, Dharma & Greg and many others. Before he even knew his music was frequently used by many TV‐ and filmmakers all over the world. Besides that, he produced directly for TV, feature film and commercials. Throughout his career he got himself familiar with writing big orchestral pieces, sometimes combining with edgy electronic elements and undefined sound samples, especially concerning sound tracks for feature film. Habbo’s current big project is the completion of his first symphony KATHARSIS.
Honours and Awards 2017: BUMA Music Award Nomination for the soundtrack on the TV program and Live ceremony ‘Ereveld Vol Leven’. 2007: Winner of the International Pitch for the music on the BAVARIA 8.6 Commercial. Highlights In 2013 Habbo wrote a dazzling soundtrack on a classic Avant Garde movie 'L'Inhumaine' live performed by The Metropole Orchestra at the Muziekgebouw a/h IJ, Amsterdam and many other places. A collaborative project with 16 of the best composers of Holland. International Film Festival Rotterdam 2011 : The Extraordinary Adventures of Mr. West in the Land of the Bolsheviks. Soundtrack live performed by The Metropole Orchestra at De Doelen, Rotterdam. A collaborative project with 12 Dutch top composers. In 2005 his CD‐album with Yanka Rupkina, Robert Jelmer and Linda Ronstadt was released worldwide Between 2001 and 2005 exclusive composer for the Royal Dutch Airforce. In 1996 he orchestrated and produced a classic album with the world famous choir: ‘The Polish Nightingales'.

Soundtrack on an intriguing documentary about three brothers and a sister travelling down to the highest mountain in the North of Hesse, Germany to strew their mother's ashes from a paraglider.
