Berry Good Result!

Working with Berry Gardens, the UK’s leading berry and stone fruit production and marketing group, and longstanding clients Alan Firmin Limited, DHA has secured a resolution to grant full planning consent for a new 13,991sqm soft fruit packing and distribution centre.

The scheme, located in open countryside in Linton, , will secure over 434 existing jobs in the Borough and is anticipated to generate in excess of 500 new jobs by 2024. The scheme will also create a 25 acre landscape and ecological enhancement area bringing tangible biodiversity benefits to the area.

A DHA led scheme with Hambridge Homes, Alan Camp Architects and Friars Primary Foundation School, has been granted delegated approval for the redevelopment of the existing caretaker’s house at Friars to provide new classrooms, meeting rooms and changing facilities in addition to eight residential flats minutes from Southwark underground station.

DHA was granted permission for the change of use and extension to a vacant former NHS clinic, on behalf of Stonehouse Regeneration.

The consent to create 10 high quality residential apartments required a need to balance a number of heritage and environmental constraints, particularly given its location within the Tunbridge Wells Conservation Area. Green Belt Dwelling Paragraph 55 Home

Following on from other several appeal successes in 2017, DHA has secured permission at appeal for a replacement dwelling and outbuildings in the Sevenoaks Green Belt.

Despite substantial changes, DHA successfully demonstrated that the scheme would not have a materially greater impact upon openness of the Green Belt and would accord with the positive approach to planning that the Government seeks to introduce.

A new dwelling in Essex has been granted permission following an extensive design review process.

The scheme, designed by Brune Jatsch Architects and Wirtz International Landscape Architects with DHA leading the planning, New Recruits was created to achieve compliance with the stringent criteria set out in the NPPF, paragraph 55 to create a home of exceptional quality at DHA and innovative design.

Tesla Engineering

After successfully demonstrating that there were no suitable alternative sites, DHA has secured permission for two new factory buildings for Tesla Engineering in Storrington, West Sussex, next to the South Downs National Park.

The factories will allow for further design and manufacture of electromagnets and gradient coils that are used in the science and pharmaceutical industries and will provide up to 100 new jobs for the local area.

Building on the success of a new 10 year planning consent for Kent Medical Campus Enterprise Zone, DHA has recently secured planning approval for a 75-bed step-down care home.

The care facility will provide accommodation for elderly and frail hospital patients who are not yet well enough to return home, as well as providing general nursing, dementia and respite care.

Construction is also underway on the Cygnet hospital building, providing adult Mental Health inpatient care, for which DHA secured permission last year.

Hailsham Homes

Working as part of a joint venture team including Bellway Homes and Orbit Homes, DHA Planning have secured reserved matters for a development on land in Hailsham for up to 460 new residential dwellings, a new primary school, retail floorspace, employment provision and new highway access.
