Subject: Creation of New0 and M Sections in HESCOM. Read: 1. 78th BoD Resolution Subject No.78/23. 2. 79th BoD Resolution Subject No.79/36.

Preamble: 1. The Chief Engineer (Elec.), Hubballi and Belagavi Zone has submitted the proposals to create new 0 and M Sections in HESCOM, duly bifurcating from the existing 0 and M Sections.

2. The existing 0 and M Sections are having vast area, more number of installations, longer length of HT and LT lines, more number of DTCs as a result of which, it is difficult to monitor power supply, maintenance of the electrical infrastructure and revenue collection. This has resulted into poor performance of the Sub-Division on various parameters of 0 & M and Revenue collection. Therefore, it is felt necessary to create new 0 and M Section Offices in HESCOM.

3. Therefore, it is felt necessary to create 50 Numbers of New 0 and M Section Offices in HESCOM.

4. Hence, a proposal was placed before the Board for approval of the following. a. To create new 47 No.s of Section Offices duly bifurcating existing Section Offices and to convert 3 No.s of Non-Accounting Sections into Accounting Sections in HESCOM. b. To incur additional employees cost of Rs. 32.84 Crores per annum for creation/Conversion of Sections. c. To incur additional administrative cost of Rs. 2.85 Crores per annum for creation/Conversion of Sections.

5. The Board discussed the matter and accorded its approval vide Subject No. 78/23 and 79/36.
