Examplify Device Compatibility

Examplify is compatible with most iPads, Mac devices, and Windows devices. The following are the minimum specifications for each device: iPads

 Hardware = iPad 3+, iPad Air+, iPad Mini+, iPad Pro  Operating System = iOS 10 (Only genuine versions of iOS are supported)  iOS 11 is supported on Examplify for iPad version 2.7 and higher  500 MB of free space required to commence an exam  iPad must not be Jailbroken Mac Devices

Examplify can be used on most modern Mac OS X based computers Please see specific system requirements as noted below.

Examplify cannot be used on virtual operating systems such as 's Virtual Machine, Parallels, VMware, VMware Fusion or any other virtual environments.

In order to use Examplify on your Apple Macbook, Macbook Air, or Macbook Pro natively, you must have:

 A device purchased within the last 3-4 years.  Administrator level account permissions  Server version of Mac OS X is not supported  Screen Resolution must be 1024 x 768 or higher  Operating System: o Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks o Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite o Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan o Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra o Mac OS X 10.13 High Sierra is supported!  Hard Drive = 1 GB or higher free disk space  RAM = 2 GB  CPU = processor

(* note as of July 18, 2018 - We previously notified you about devices that are compatible with Examplify, ICO’s test software. However, we were notified on July 18 about an exception to the rule regarding the new 2018 MacBook Pro that Apple made available to the public on July 12. Even though this new device meets the minimum specifications in the compatibility list that we previously gave you, it is not yet compatible with Examplify. Since this may influence your purchasing decisions, we wanted to let you know right away.) Windows Devices

Examplify can be used on most modern -based computers. Please see specific system requirements as noted below.

Examplify cannot be used on virtual operating systems such as Microsoft's Virtual Machine, Parallels, VMware, VMware Fusion or any other virtual environments.

 A device purchased within the last 3-4 years running 32-bit or 64-bit Versions of . This should be a native installation of Windows 10 and not an older upgraded to Windows 10.  All Windows 10 Creators versions, including the Spring 1803 update are now supported with Examplify version 1.5.0.  Alternate versions of Windows 10, such as Windows RT, and Windows 10 S are NOT supported at this time.  Only genuine, U.S.-English versions of Windows Operating Systems are supported  Examplify does not support Tablet devices other than Pro as detailed below  CPU Processor: 1.86Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo or greater  RAM: highest recommended for the operating system or 2GB  Hard Drive: highest recommended for the operating system or 1GB of available space  Screen Resolution must be 1024x768 or higher  Administrator level account permissions

Surface Pro Requirements:  , Surface Books, and Surface Laptop devices are supported (Non-Pro Surface devices are NOT supported)  Must be running a supported Operating System (See Windows Requirements above)  An external keyboard (USB or Bluetooth) is required. Bluetooth keyboards must be paired prior to launching exam  Hard Drive: 1GB or higher available space  Screen Resolution must be 1920x1080  Administrator level account permissions

Device Recommendations

Although any of the devices above will work with Examplify, ICO students have found the fewest technology problems with iPads, so students looking to purchase a new device are encouraged to consider an iPad. The iPad also tends to be the least expensive of the various devices.
