ii iii WELCOME WELCOME

On behalf of The All Club, may I wish you a very warm welcome to The Championships 2017. Upon arrival to the Grounds this year, you will see we have begun the serious work of making substantial improvements to No.1 Court, the most obvious element being the removal of the existing roof, and the installation of the new steel structure. Immediately following this year’s Championships, work will begin on installing the fixed roof for The Championships 2018, with the fully retractable roof due for completion for The Championships 2019. You will also notice that Court 19 is no longer with us. This will open as a new public plaza for The Championships 2018, providing additional space and food and beverage options for those enjoying watching Wimbledon from Aorangi Terrace. Debenture holders have always played a vital role in the development of the Grounds over the years and I would like to thank you for your continued support. Before then, of course, there is the small matter of this year’s Championships. It promises to be another enthralling event and I very much hope you have an enjoyable and memorable visit to Wimbledon.
