Pilgrim School teacher will ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ Pilgrim School Science teacher and Science Bowl sponsor Bryan Cardella will begin a month-long project starting in March in which he will save all of his paper, plastic, glass, metal and other recyclables for an entire month. Cardella will weight the total mass in kilograms each day and write a blog entry each evening about the experience. Cardella said he hopes the pro- ject will inspire his students and the community to “reduce, reuse and recycle.” Pilgrim students will have the opportunity to guess how many kilograms Cardella will collect over the month, and prizes will be given to the students who come closest to guessing the actual weight. “I’m excited to have begun this weird project of mine,” Cardella said. “Already after Day 1 I have become hyper-aware of how much trash I am responsible for.
