1st Grade News By Morah Greenberger, Morah Rosen, and Morah Turoff

On Monday, the first grade boys started learning Chumash for the very first time! To celebrate this momentous occasion, each boy made a crown with After ."מה אהבתי תורתך" the words from the Pasuk learning the first Pasuk of the Torah and wearing their crowns, all the Kitah Aleph boys got together to sing read and translate ,מה אהבתי תורתך the song of Pasuk Aleph of Bereishis, and get special treats. The boys were given heart lollipops (because we love learning Torah), laffy taffys and smiley face spinners (because learning Torah makes us so happy and Hashem so happy). The day was full of excitement and pride as we watched the boys take another big step in their growth of becoming Bnei Torah. Mazel

Tov to all the Kitah Aleph boys! We are so proud!

A little rain didn't keep us from riding the camels, or jumping on the moon bounce and 95 foot obstacle course! Our kindergarteners got to tour Israel by visiting each other’s classrooms and doing different projects, while our first and second graders got to tour mini Israel in the gym with a special carnival 3rd-7th Grade Boys’ News arranged by Mrs. Matanky. Our boys in grades three By Rabbi Gottesman through eight were treated to Israel Jeopardy led by Rabbi Gottesman, with special gift bags from our Boys On Yom Ha'atzmaut, the 3rd-7th grade boys played a Student Council. Girls Student Council News By Avigayil Malkin Thanks to ALL of the eighth grade girls, we made an awesome maze for Yom Ha’atzmaut! We made a live map of the highlight cities in Israel, such as Eilat, Tiberias, Chevron, Yerushalayim, Tzfat, Chaifa, and Tel Aviv. When the younger girls arrived, they were shown a life-sized map and enjoyed a PowerPoint with details about each city. They were then given a t-shirt and lanyard with a mini map attached to help them through the maze. As they entered each group's booth, the eighth grade girls worked extra hard to bring each city to life, with a fun, interactive activity. Thank you to Mrs. and Mr. Feiler for sponsoring the packages made for the Chayalim. And special thank you to Mrs. Gross, Mrs. Prero, and Mrs. Heinemann. We are so grateful to you all for making it happen!

6th Grade News By Azi Aberman, Nissim Zahtz, and Gabe Simon This past month we’ve been learning about Ancient Egypt. We also had a great time learning with our classroom economy (there is a $20 bill below from our class economy)! Our new teacher Ms. Ellis is very entertaining and fun to work with. Our classroom jobs range from photojournalist to journalists to our democratic government. We earn money, pay rent on our desks, and even buy insurance and pay taxes. We learned that lots of elements from our life we can trace to Ancient

Egypt. This class has been a great source of learning and we are looking forward to our next lesson!
